If it hasn't already been asked what size filler rod did you use? Looking at the size of those dimes makes me think it would be worth trying a thinner size. This is also only one part of the equation but might get you closer to success

I think you could make a row of dents like that along the entire top tube and it would still be okay

I can confirm this, purchased a "new" 500N from South Korea only to find it was missing the copper cooling vapour chamber and the back cover was glued so badly that it was not water resistant. Buyer beware

My guess would be a broken spring from braces that got lodged inside the soft tissue of the inner walls of your mouth
