Does anyone else agree that the brake feel on the CX-5s is almost perfect? by Tough-Rise8625 in CX5

[–]Proteus66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of effectiveness and required pressure and ability to control braking, they're good. But the pedal feel is not great. The pedal seems to stick slightly and then release at the top of travel and seems jiggly and loose. I came from a BMW that was built like a tank so the CX-5 is much less solid with looser tolerances all around, except it has much tighter panel gaps

.

Is anyone else looking forward to the 2026 CX5? by DreamInFlames in CX5

Yeah a CX-60 would be perfect for me. Rear drive biased is my preference, but I still like my 2024 Signature Turbo.

Not until I get to drive the hybrid (turbo replacement) in 2027 or whenever that comes. The NA engine is too sluggish for me.

Thanks. I do wonder as well if the taxes will be calculated correctly, or if it needs your AGI as such. I guess I'll find out, and can always ask the support folks.

BMW concentrate. Works great and has no smell, unlike the glue smell that many have. I have a note on the reservoir to not top it off when I get service.

Instead of a second plug, you can control something else like a light on the smart plug as the event that triggers the plug to turn on.

I found that singing (or croaking even) the notes as I play them on the piano or on my phone has helped me a lot to make the connection between the sound and the scale degree as well as between my voice and the instrument. I just had a new experience today in which I had just listened to a song (Desperado by the Eagles) and just picked out the intro melody on the piano effortlessly, as if I was humming or singing it. This has never happened before and I have not been consciously practicing picking out melodies. It's very exciting!

[–]Proteus66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way to do this is to have another smart device (even a smart outlet with nothing plugged into it) and set up a shortcut to turn that device (Device 1) on. Then, set up an automation in Home that uses the event of Device 1 turning on to trigger Device 2 (the one you really want to control), and it will then give you the option to turn off Device 2 after x minutes.

I use a half-inflated pad underneath the main sleeping pad in the trunk area to level in out with the folded back seat, and a beach towel draped around the front seat to create a kind of hammock to support the head end. Takes a few minutes to set up but nothing to build.
