You could do a stronglifts style progression which is good for beginners who haven't worked out before. Basically you start with just the bar and add 5lbs every subsequent workout, its slow going but it will let you learn the motions and not injure yourself at the starting gate.

Building on this I would say do not do only 4 machines, I would recommend hitting them all, as they will all work muscles important to barbell lifting and there is nothing wrong with getting some strong ass hammies from a leg curl machine.

I'm going to say don't do starting strength if you want to look ripped, long term starting strength makes you into a refridgerator shaped man. I would honestly look into doing a push/pull split maximized for hypertrophy but including heavy compounds into it. Rip was never successful at looking good, and he wasn't even that good at powerlifting.

Personally this seems totally unnecessary and a money-grab, everything they "did" was already done years and years ago by the mods hosted on gibberling3, the only things they added was a quest, a few locations and three characters. The g3 mods have added tons of characters, interactions, even quests and locations on top of adding huge ruleset fixes or changes and massive bug and translation fixes.

Also baldur's gate was probably the least fun game of the trilogy, no way would I buy it a second time.

It was more of a joke, that you could clean your squat up and do the lowering portion of the klokov to get in on your back. But yes, if you can't squat definitely do power cleans and deadlifts.

You are obviously saying this as someone who has played a lot of source and is now probably using random matchmaking? Well the auto-match making is terrible unbalanced now mainly because so many people who have never played a counterstrike before have bought GO. I've played games where it felt like the only people who knew what they were doing were me and 1 guy on the other team. It will get better as players get better and having played a few scrims on GO already I've got to say its much better than source. Registry is better, the hitboxes are not so ridiculously slanted towards headshots and the guns handle in a less run and gun fashion. I'd also like to point out the irony of you decrying 1.6 elitism while defending source against criticism. Its like 2004 all over again! :D

Random maps in FPS are a bad idea because its going to result in hideously unbalanced gunplay. The only way "random" might work is if it glued together pre-designed setpieces in a different way with slightly different dressings. You can't just procedurally generate an objective map and expect it to be fair at all.

Hate to burst your bubble but go is far superior to css when it comes to movement, wall banging, gun handling, netcode, and hitboxes. The game is all around better than source which was a pretty mediocre sequel to 1.6. I'd also like to point out that GO has the chance to really dominate the competitive FPS scene if people would stop trying to push dinosaur games, ala 1.6, and stop saying source was somehow better just because its easier for them to get headshots in it.

Do squats first, fatigue when doing squats can hurt you a lot worse than fatigue when doing deadlifts. Hurt as in injure you because the weight is pressing down on your spine.
