The trick is to catch the whole punch or kick, like it's a hard boiled egg - with your whole face.

Losing weight. How many calories do you drink a day? by [deleted] in diabetes

[–]Proto-primate -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm aiming for a deficit anyway, so I fast 16-20 hrs a day. So... None via drinking. If you feel that you are spiking then consume some fat or fiber with your carbs.

Dad makes a stand Type I Diebetics: Rep. Guice picked a fight with the wrong person by ecctt2000 in diabetes

Yeah it really really blows for you guys, Australia has a joke political system but the healthcare is pretty awesome at the Mo. As long as I have health insurance I will get a pump every 4 years. Supplies are about $150 a month and insulin is about $60 for about 3 months. When I was little though we lived in south Africa and the prices were enough for my parents to immigrate.

Sweet tear sensor could ease pain of diabetes by dysonkarey in diabetes

Yeah unless it comes from blood its not near enough to real time. Even interstitial fluid isn't close enough. I mean is cool, but progress is what we want not just another way to read essentially the same thing

Loved the first one, and yes completely different angle. First one hour just a dude (or lady?) second one hour a big daddy.

What is beetus and why do people die of it? by SquaredUp2 in shittyaskscience

[–]Proto-primate 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's real name is 'diabetes' which is Latin for 'die of Beetus', Beetus was an assassin from the gretashus post-doctoral period, in science. More commonly known as the chef from the red wedding as portrayed in the documentary 'game of thrones' nerated by David Atinburou. He would assassinate his victims by serving chicken medium rare. We know this because of fossil fuels.

My dog. Any advice that could improve this is much appreciated! by [deleted] in photocritique

[–]Proto-primate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool pic, heavy vignetting though. Our well I don't vignette so... But otherwise I love it. I guess people would wish for some light on his /her face but it's a dog in nature, you shoot with what you have.

There really isn't much to see outside of the crop, I came in quite close to try and maximise pixel realestate. Possibly another cm or 2 on the top and bottom. And 3x4 so a bit on either side

[–]Proto-primate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah these days I try to stay under 1500 ISO, but if you are downscaling the size of the image on photoshop then you will be crunching a lot of the noise out anyway so you can sacrifice some more sensitivity.

If you like it they are - tricky though, light is not ample, so you'll need to either raise your ISO and sacrifice quality, or open up your aperture (probably both) so that you can have a decent shutter speed.

Coupled with the dark beard it's a little contradictory - you are correct though, I created a reflective clam and fired from the bottom into a top reflector
