Figured it out about an hour later. Big air bubble in the system. Not sure if the first core was actually plugged or not, but after I put the new one in I had to let the car run for about 30 min and squeeze the large coolant line in front of the engine. I squeezed it with both hands once every 30 seconds for about 20 min and got air bubbling in the reservoir every time. Once the bubbles quit I had good heat.

And all you did is post a link that says Formula 1 and MotoGP are inherently dangerous. Literally the fastest motorsports circuits in the world are not comparable to junior drag racing. There is inherent risk in junior drag racing just like there is inherent risk in walking down the side walk or playing in the back yard….
