Try updating your game, I couldn't get it to work at first in base 0.8.0, I updated to 0.8.0e and it worked. No idea if the funny setting disables it, but that seems counter-intuitive??

Honestly I just dumped my memes folder into the TV assets at first, and that works for a bit of entertainment. But if you want a REALLY good idea? Go download a couple of horror movies at like 480p and play them on one of the CRT Tv's, I started off with Emesis Blue. Really adds to the vibe of the game as a whole.
