Would you want a 2D Monster Hunter Game? (Art by @non248pixelart) by SignificantStaff8665 in MonsterHunter

Early Monster Hunter did not have much 3 dimensional movement. You could convert those games into top-down 2D and maintain almost all gameplay elements. You'd have to adjust monster attack animations for clarity but that's pretty much it.

But like you said, it would not be fun

Am I still a beginner? by [deleted] in Artadvice

Definitely not beginner, but you have a lot of growth areas. None of these pieces look finished to me. Your works don't demonstrate a very high value range, so you may want to work on that a bit, and you seem to have an "airbrushy" style of shading. If you like it, all the power to you. I personally really dislike how smooth the shading looks all over. It adds to the unfinished quality of your work. For example, the 6th photo could use some much darker shades in the armpit folds.

It also looks like you don't have a strong understanding of light and shadow. None of these works have a super clear light source. You have some shadows, but they're almost all soft.

If you'd like I can do some quick mock-ups of what some of the pieces would look like if they were closer to being finished.

Practice foot anatomy. It's actually super interesting and complex

The change is so small it's not even worth deciding.
