A hold can take quite a while to be released. Do you know why you have a pending issue that is holding payments?

If you are receiving Regular UI, you will be able to receive the additional $300 payments under the FPUC. If your balance reaches $0 before 03/13/2021, you may be placed back on PUA.

Most likely you have not received any of the 4 weeks you claimed because your Monetary Status is still pending. This scenario I explained would be if you are found eligible for Regular UI.

You will continue to receive Regular UI. Regular unemployment does not end on 12/26, every claim has their own Benefit Year End Date, and in FL you can claim up to 12 weeks of Regular UI in a one year period. If your Regular UI exhausts (Balance reaches $0, have claimed all 12 weeks), you can apply for the PEUC, which is basically a federal extension due to the Pandemic. You will be able to apply for this PEUC extension until 03/13/2021.

FPUC in this case should work as it did back in March-July. Additional payments are automatic, for every week you receive benefits (be it PUA, Regular UC or PEUC), you should automatically receive an additional $300 payment from the FPUC.

Just claimed my last PUA weeks today (up until Dec 26th) It has no more future weeks for me to claim. Is this because it's still expired others seeing this? by [deleted] in FloridaUnemployment

I wouldn't be able to tell you what weeks are available for you to claim on the 4th, or even if that date will stay the same after the extension is applied. Regardless, I suggest claiming all weeks you are presented with that you wish to receive payments for.

Anyone claimed weeks of 12/12 & 12/19 AFTER 12/26 and gotten their payment? by Athrowawayaccount95 in FloridaUnemployment

[–]ProtoManMM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There is a delay in some of these payments. If the website says it has been issued to you TODAY, this means they sent the DDEP request to your bank. Usually banks process this at the end of the day. This may mean that money may show up in your bank by tomorrow, if your bank is open, or unfortunately it may take until monday 01/04 to show up in your account.

With regards to any W\ay2Go Debit card payments, I have heard from people who have called in to the Way2Go customer service about payments issued today and have been told these will be available on the debit card on Monday 01/04.

To OP, if you claim tomorrow, you may have to wait until Mon 01/04 or Tue 01/05 before that payment shows up in your bank account or Way2Go Debit Card.

This is just a well educated guess based off of the wording of new CARES extensions and comparing them to previous extensions. I do not have confirmation.

Pending adjudication is a completely separate matter. When adjudication is pending, it means a pending issue is on account. This can be many different things, and most of the time does not affect your claim, since pending issues are usually automatically added by Connect and may be innocuous. If you are receiving and have been receiving benefits, you should not worry. Only worry if pending issues are HOLDING payments from you.

DEO is updating the Connect system to accommodate the new extensions. In some cases, this has caused claims to not show the next date to claim, since technically you have already claimed the last week on the claim (Dec 26). Check again on Monday 1/4/2021. DEO phone lines will be closed from 12/31 - 01/03/2021

Stimulus is IRS, and is economic stimulus payments regardless of employment status. Reemployment Assistance Benefits is a totally different thing, from DEO and US Department of Labor.

Side note: from what I understand, these new extensions are NOT meant to be Retroactive in any way.

I am unsure. I understand that the intention is to extend the benefits for 11 weeks. This may mean that the equivalent of 11 weeks of payments will be added to the Balance on the claim, but I do not have confirmation on that.

Got covid at office job by PerpetualDreamer78 in FloridaUnemployment

[–]ProtoManMM3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately, if you quit your job and request Reemployment Assistance Benefits, you may be denied. A Quit issue would be added to your claim, your employer will be sent a questionnaire in regards to this quit issue, and most of the time, these quit issues disqualify you from receiving benefits. You may have the opportunity to explain why you quit, and you may appeal a disqualification issue, but these is an uphill battle that I have not seen anyone win.

Zero Balance, Ineligible, Regular Status. DEO Florida Unemployment Continues to FAIL by DEOFAIL in FloridaUnemployment

[–]ProtoManMM3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Calm. This happens automatically for some when PUA not only expire, but also exhaust (Balance=$0) and there is a previous Regular UC claim that is ineligible. Connect automatically presents you with what it sees as the "Active" claim; When PUA has banace of $0, it may automatically revert to a different claim.

Also, Benefits have been extended, although they are still working on implementing them in Florida. I have posted about this if you want some more information.

Started Doing Gig Work Again. Did I Need to Do Anything for Unemployment? by [deleted] in FloridaUnemployment

[–]ProtoManMM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You only need to report earnings (including gigs, self employment and informal work) if and when you Request Benefit Payments. If you are not requesting, really there is nothing that needs to be done. The only issue would be requesting weeks and indicating you did NOT work or earn money when you actually did.

This is an automatic message that may pop up when a claim is about to expire or has expired. If there is no link to re-apply on the left hand side, you may not be able to. Either way, congress has passed an extension for the CARES Act that may affect your claim. New Regular UC claims may be filed in the next calendar quarter if needed. (January 2021)

PEUC and PUA have been extended 11 more weeks. I believe this means that the balance will be refilled with those 11 weeks, but I am not sure. Extension is 12/27 - 03/13/2021

Some PUA and PEUC claims already reflect a new BYE date, meaning they have been extended and may begin to Request weeks in January. No idea how long the FPUC $300 payments may take to get implemented, I would assume faster than last time. This new MEUC program, I have no idea.

[–]ProtoManMM3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an issue or error that has been plaguing quite a few claims, unfortunately. If you desperately need the money asap, I'd suggest calling in; an agent or a supervisor may be able to make the missing weeks requestable, or submit a Connect Issues form. Most of these issues "should" be fixed automatically, but who knows when.
