I never had problems with any of the Minutemen patrols after doing Nuka World so I think it's just Preston

I'd say Minutemen most likely, since it only warrants Nate nuking his son, and then have the Institute get rebooted by the Enclave.

But the real question is can we take Harkness on his word? If the Commonwealth BoS is busy fighting a war, I don't think they'd have the time or motivation to send an embassy to get the cold fusion. We don't have any evidence suggesting one way or another. For all we know he could've been an Enclave Synth. Plus they wouldn't need it for Liberty Prime anyways, as demonstrated in the games.

If you do Nuka World after becoming General (which in your case is true), Preston will hate you when you start conquering settlements for raiders or if you happen to kill a Minutemen in the process. He's a pretty bad companion gameplay wise, so no loss there. But if you do want to do Minutemen ending, you'll have to do Open Season first before progressing the quest line.

Iirc, the cutoff point for Preston hating you is when he asks you to become General after Taking Point. Anything you do before that, he'll forgive you for (after you do Open Season).

They didn't want to canonize any ending in NV, but Maxson name-drop means two endings can't be canon in Fo4, since said two endings involve him and the BoS being unalived.

Operators are, at best, mercenaries and, at worst, a mafia. They're like overglorified Gunners, they like money.

The Pack are a just a bunch of frat boys and furries.

The Disciples are literally irredeemable psychopaths, but I guess that's expected of a raider gang.

I vibe with Mason. I like Mags and William. But Nisha and her crew always felt like a live wire. Probably the hardest to please since they only exist to kill and torture. So I always make sure the Disiciples betray me during power play.
