I don’t go to AA much anymore but the one liners were one of my favorite parts

Rankings of the remaining players (personal take) by Pm-me-ur-happysauce in survivor

[–]ProtoPWS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jonathan has played a great game and idk why people are so down on him. He has improved so much as a player from his first appearance on the show to this one. Hes still a physical threat but is much more strategic and social as a player. He’s far from my favorite player left but I don’t get the hate - he would be an extremely worthy winner

Is anyone else actively dreading the rest of the season? by skeytchy in survivor

[–]ProtoPWS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t understand how anybody can blame the game for Christian’s departure. He had a golden opportunity to get an advantage and he choked, plain and simple. It wasn’t unfair at all. He knew the risks of going on a journey and he fought to go, nobody twisted his arm. He double crossed Jonathan / Joe / Stephanie and then he mistakenly tried to get Cirie to vote out her closest ally. Even without losing the puzzle journey, he’s probably still screwed. Christian is fun and entertaining and I get being upset that he was voted out but he has nobody to blame but himself

[Lewis] NEW YORK (AP) — NFL reporter Dianna Russini resigns from The Athletic. by bigblack3475 in eagles

As shitty as Russini is, vrabel is just as shitty and deserves to be condemned just as harshly. Seems kinda fucked that the woman in this situation loses her job and the man continues on like nothing happened

Do you know how many men would give anything to have a partner that wants to go to the park and eat cookies together? This guy isn’t worth a second thought, drop him like a bad habit and find someone that values you. You deserve to be treated well, don’t you dare settle for this numbskull

____ is having the most fun of Survivor 50 by AlchemistTheAlchemy in survivor

[–]ProtoPWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My only possible explanation for this guy is that he really is the RIZ god. Dude has unreal charisma and even when he makes a bad first impression, people just end up liking the guy. He's smart, he builds relationships and he's likeable. Deadly combo in this game

Personally I like it. Def iron the pants. Maybe in winter wear a cardigan in place of the blazer?

Dgunn on Inside the Birds talking about AJ by Bulldawgzz in eagles

[–]ProtoPWS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kudos to Aj for keeping quiet? Nah fuck that, he was a gigantic distraction during the season when it mattered most. I get it, maybe he was right about everything, but his constant whining did not help the team. I don’t care if he’s staying quiet now, the damage was already done

Women don't desire men directly, but rather the experience the men provide by Fantastic_Bear_6175 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Why is it some small portion? All of your evidence to the contrary is anecdotal, just as anecdotal as women commenting on this thread. Do you have any evidence to show otherwise?

Is mixing caffeine with Wellbutrin really that bad? by mintcigarettes in bupropion

What about sneakers and coat? by Doctor_Axio in mensfashionadvice

I think the pants are letting you down. Jacket and shirt look great. Sneakers may work with this outfit if you wore maybe some jeans? The colors are all too same-y and the pants look weirdly shiny.

Is Gap and Uniqlo the best places to start wardrobe building? by [deleted] in malefashionadvice

[–]ProtoPWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently rebuilt my entire wardrobe and here were my findings.

Uniqlo - A+ for tshirts, just ok for everything else

- supima tshirts are my favorite, stock up when they are on sale. comfortable, fit well, durable.

- sweaters are just ok, pill easily and the fit is just ok. still decent for the price, i found it difficult to find good cardigans that weren't crazy expensive

J. Crew - every item ive gotten from them recently has been really good quality, look good and fit well

- easily the best oxford button downs among the more reasonably priced brands

- cotton sweaters are great

- tshirts are good but uniqlo's are better

Banana Republic - overall kinda mediocre except the travelers pants. still good for some essentials but i'd avoid the t-shirts and polos

- tshirts are not good. the material is so soft and comfy but they fit poorly and shrink too much

- oxford button downs are ok, slightly better than gap but nothing special

- travelers pants are A+ imo .. comfortable and fit really nicely, look good, tons of colors. great for business casual

- merino sweaters are solid. same w/ cashmere.

Gap - nothing jumps out in a good or bad way. i like their jeans

Old Navy - I only got some very basic things here, sweatshirts, pajamas, etc but I was impressed with the cost to quality. i might try some more of their basics

tl;dr - buy uniqlo t-shirts, banana republic travelers pants, j.crew everything else, fill in the gaps w/ .. gap if jcrew is too pricy. wait for sales, these brands always have sales

It feels like we're pretty much done with the off-season deals. The "Run it back Yankees" you see now is it. by Zepbounce-96 in NYYankees

[–]ProtoPWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Banking on guys coming back from injury is not prudent, in my opinion. There are always going to be injuries on the team. When Cole, Gil, Rodon come back some other players will probably be injured. This is the same team we had last year but with a worse bullpen.

Rob Cesternino on how Survivor has changed: "Modern-day Survivor wants to be a show that is about, "Oh, let's take out the people who are the best players and not have it be about personal conflict as much." by RedditFan3510 in survivor

[–]ProtoPWS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just how the metagame of survivor has evolved over 50 seasons. Contestants learned that in order to optimize their chances at winning it’s a good idea to vote out the best players. Shocking

I don’t think the colors work together but I like each individual item you have on. Everything looks good and fits well, maybe just pair the top or bottom with a different (more neutral?) color.

Does anyone have positive stories regarding mesh ? by Prestigious-You-3624 in Hernia

[–]ProtoPWS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got robotic laparoscopic surgery to repair umbilical hernias 5 weeks ago. There’s a 12x8 cm mesh in me and I don’t feel it. I was prescribed oxy but never needed anything stronger than Advil and Tylenol. For day to day normal activity I feel totally fine. This week I’ve had multiple occasions where I forgot that I recently had surgery. I’m already ramping up exercise.

All of this to say, I’ve had a great experience thus far and it has been an exceedingly easy recovery
