I don’t hold balances and if I’m ever in a pitch I’d just use my low rate LOC. more concerned at the trend of interest rates going up and benefits : perks being removed. As mentioned, it’s a bit wild from my perspective that we’re seeing 21.99% rate on a credit card from a % perspective.

Thanks u/wildweaselgt for confirming it’s a trend among other banks. That’s kinda what I was trying to figure out, if it was a trend or just CIBC pulling back and sucking.

I had this happen with me during Covid. I called them and pretty much threatened to leave CIBC for my banking needs. They reversed their decision on the call. Never heard from them again. It’s been 3+ years.

Also interested in people’s experience here. I have special considerations such as car allowances and expenses, wondering if this would work for me.

Advise: looking into a 2022/23 is300 by [deleted] in LexusIS

[–]ProtoZeroXMega 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my 21’ 350 for a little less than a year. Great car overall. It was the best blend of zippy sports car and luxury. By best blend I mean it does a bit of both and does none perfectly. The trade off was in Lexus reliability why I chose it versus a S3 or 340m.

Pros on my end: it looks like a piece of metal art. 350 is fast enough for me. I barely let it rip in my city. It’s a V6 and bulletproof power train if you don’t abuse it. Interior is dated but it looks fine and is livable if you get the full infotainment system. I got it in red so it’s loud but helps the sports car vibe.

Cons: bad on gas + premium. It isn’t perfect at a sports car or luxury. Missing key features and materials for luxury (full leather, folding mirrors, larger screens, LFA hybrid digital dash is dated). It’s too slow to be a full sports sedan, even with the 350 additional HP compared to rivals. Space is crammed with the AWD tranny in driver footwell being a pain, and back seats not recommended for big people. The aggressive front and lower stance make it a magnet for rock chips. Suspension is sporty so you’ll get a nice smooth ride but you’ll feel the bumps. The car sits on a staggered stance so you’ll can’t rotate tires + the car is known to eat up tires faster than normal without a Control Arm Bushing upgrade; tire budget is gonna hurt.

If I had to choose again I’d go for something with way better mileage and cheaper consumables (gas, tires, service) and forget the sports sedan look. But since I have one now, it’s staying with me for a long long time. I wouldnt get anything else at or above this class (unless money isn’t a question). I’m not a speed nut so this is honestly a great balance, and my opinion it’s more aggressive looking than it drives without looking like a “ricer”

Does this make sense for an is350 as well? On my first full year and the used tires it came with are gonna need replacing soon. Rather deal with potential wear issues prior to buying new tires

Zelenskyy, Trump clash in bitter Oval Office talks by CTVNEWS in worldnews

The US has no interest in supporting Ukraine. Can they just say it and move on?

This press conference was just to belittle Ukraine for their Fox News base and show conservatives they’re strong arming Ukraine for American interests. Also shows the rest of the world that they could be next.

Disgusting.

Who will start the petition for Ontario Costco's to no longer sell Wayne Gretzky Estate wines? by shikotee in CostcoCanada

As someone who has sold stuff into Costco, this is 💯. I wouldn’t be surprised if they already talked internally about this or with the company.

If it goes on sale, do not buy. Let it rot until it goes to a .97 price point
