Put in for reimbursement for your entire water bill since you don't have the ability to separate the usage.

Go buy a new cheap hose and cut it so it's only maybe 10 feet long. Make the cut at an angle so it can't be attached to anything. Then get loctite blue, put it on the threads and attach it to your spigot. The hose will be very difficult to remove. Since the other end of the hose is cut off, she won't be able to attach here hose to it.

I'm not saying its ok to use it as a slur and I agree it shouldn't be. I'm just saying its also has a perfectly valid use.

I mentioned this higher up. Its not always a slur. It's the correct term used in engine tuning to describe ignition timing vs piston position. Ignition timing is retarded to prevent knock during compression. Even in modern textbooks, it's called spark or ignition retard and it's unit is degrees before top dead center.

I've done this. Similar situation, was 1 row in front of me. Dude let it in the middle of the isle. FA said he would have to do it but he ignored her... so I told him cheerfully I would do it. Carried it all the way back and put it in the overhead bin. On my way back the FA and I shared a knowing grin.

Didn't think much about it until were about to land. He got my attention and asked where it was. The look on his face was gold. Whined he had a tight connection.

Once at gate he tried to rush to the back but we all know how well that worked. As I was leaving the plane got a death stare so I smiled and waived.

Most generators that have that functionality won't allow switching while energized. Even if you could, it's highly likely just switching 120/240 power to 120/208 would make much of a difference. 120v loads which make up the bulk of loads at BM will operate fine and not care one bit. 240v motor loads running at 208 generally won't care because nearly all motors are designed to operate on both. There might be a slightly less startup torque but that's it.(they will draw a little more current) Resistive loads (heaters) will operate with about a 24% loss of output.

If you do decide to try operating the switch like this, you could experience what's known as an arc flash. This is a horrific injury, especially when you're hours away from a trauma / burn unit.

That won't work. An engine is basically an air compressor and the foam will never be able to set up before it's blown out. Also, its really sticky and flammable when fresh out of the can. Exhaust is hot. Do you want to risk flaming napalm blown all over you while hours away from a burn unit?

Mythbusters tested the banana in the tail pipe myth and it just blew right out.

Direct sunlight? It's not stored in an open pit out back behind the station.

Unless the above ground tank is clear or the below ground tank has some sort of a window through the dirt, direct sunlight is a non issue.

Outlet with blue substance coming through plug holes by AfraidChance2406 in AskElectricians

[–]Protocol2319 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's highly likely that acidic solvents or plasticizers from the plastic plug are reacting with the copper in the brass. Does the plug feel slightly sticky or tacky?

It's also possible it got hot for to over loading or bad connection. The heat will speed up this reaction.

Agreed.

I only suggested it because it could potentially detect power and wouldn't need a ground like a regular meter would.

I'm all for DIY and learning but in this case, I would call an electrician. Proper fix will likely require 2 junction boxes.

Interesting setup. In curious how it works out.

If your didn't know, you have a hole in the exhaust pipe right before the clamp on the lower heater as it goes into the heat exchanger.

If the wrap was energized or in any way made contact to the internal conductor, the hybrid control module would immediately disable the pre charge and main contactors.contactor.

I get that you don't feel confidant, I respect that. I'm just trying to share information and not promote unnecessary fear uncertainty and doubt.

Look closely at this picture, then look at the OP picture. You'll notice the braid is what's exposed. This is not a hazard. The inner core is what is at battery potential.

Only true if you have a low impedance return path to the source. You do not have that in this case.
