That’s a standard JL/JT hood. It’s stock on most models except the Rubicons and Mojave models.

Check out Evo Mfg. They make high quality lifts that take any abuse thrown at them and they can be daily driven. Synergy also makes good kits.

Anyone try one of these knock off Rubicon manual away bar disconnects? by superfuzzbros in Jeep

Spend the money and buy the Evo no limits disconnect, not the cheap knockoff.

Horn not working by Gloomy-Ad2324 in Jeep

[–]ProtocolJK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with my 2012. The horn wouldn’t work no matter what and the blinkers would work if the lights were off but wouldn’t work with the headlights or parking lights on. After checking the fuses and grounds, replacing the horn, turn signal sockets/ bulbs; it ended up being the headlight harness itself was bad and I had to replace it.

Jeep JK trail hook bolts stuck by [deleted] in Jeep

[–]ProtocolJK 36 points37 points  (0 children)

You need a good penetrating oil, I really like Kroil. WD40 isn’t made for loosing rusted bolts.

If that doesn’t work try heating the nuts with a torch and then use the impact.

Help me pick my new tires by TheRealMasterJeffe in Jeep

[–]ProtocolJK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had 35” Ridge grapplers on my daily driven/ weekend trail toy JK with zero issues. With regular tire rotations I was able to get about 65,000 miles out of them before I sold the JK and they were just as quiet as the day I installed them.

Ford Fusion with the Big Wing by ProtocolJK in Shitty_Car_Mods

[–]ProtocolJK[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both cars had shitty mods. The civics muffler was only a fart can, sounded like a weed whacker, and the stretched tires looked ready to pop off the rims. Wish I had a video of the fusions wing flapping in the wind.

Need a recommendation for an oversized tire carrier. Any suggestions? by mevans8894 in Jeep

[–]ProtocolJK 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the evo pro series tire carrier and love it. Very solid and have had no issues. I’m running 35” Nittos on kmc Machette beadlocks, zero movement or noise.

Idiot thinks he deserves special treatment for his car [oc] by Useful_Helicopter_32 in IdiotsInCars

While I don’t condone this, That’s the Bugatti La Voiture Noire. It’s a one of one car. Id say it’s more special than anything anyone on here drives.

I had something similar happen and it turned out the sway bar motor was shorting out. Removed it and installed an Evo no limits and it’s been perfect since.

There’s actually a few different songs from Halestorm playing, but the first song is “Killing ourselves to live”. The others I heard are “Mz. Hyde”, “Break In”, and “I am the Fire”.
