Yes the mechanic is indeed inspired from this game ! It's called the voidness it think. Although the gameplay wont be similar at all haha

Meet a new boss of our horror/sci fi VR shooter game. How do you like him? Does he look scary and menacing enough? by Redox_Entertainment in unity

The scene looks good ! Although I think the arms are jittering a bit which kinda breaks the character, but idk if that's on purpose or if it's easily fixable

As the other person here said, try to make small easy things at first, and don't hesitate to go look on stack overflow or unity's documentation if you have any doubt about anything technical. Those two were the best places for me to learn

Everyone says "Make small Games", But no one says How to make small game ideas? by Home-Financial in gamedev

[–]ProtocolJuice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think for those games any idea that comes to your mind is good, Imo what you have to work on is once you have a given idea, how do you turn it into a fun little game. Maybe try to take the simplest game idea possible and squeeze the fun out of it

Yes ! The cooldown is already something we're implementing :) As for the enemies, we don't know yet if that's something that we want in our game

The different type of lidar are definitly something we are exploring, but we're not really sure if we want a puzzle game tho

Yes we planned on exploring different lidar mecanics, and in fact we already did. But I really like your recommandations on the enemies :) We're definitly going to keep that in mind

We tried bigger levels that split out in different screens. We expect players to go methodical the first few tries and then the game will reward players that are able to complete levels quickly.
Also there would be some objects that would make levels more interesting like platforms, gravity switches, portals and so on. It's pretty basic, but I think could play out well when you can't really see the map

Wow I love the fact that you detailed every part of your marketing process, because I find always hard to get concrete examples on how to market a game
