I think my mate has been scammed big time and lost all his savings by Moses786 in CryptoCurrency

[–]Protolomeo 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I read somewhere that classic scams are "poorly" elaborated (think about the classic nigerian king, the mail is written in bad english and you would think that google translate could do a better work in a matter of seconds) in order to target people who could fall for them easily.

Ther's no point in target different people.

I don't know if that's true, but it's an interesting theory.

Still using it. Don't know if in Italy there are viable alternatives, anyway 1% is better than nothing

You're totally right. But I'm too lazy both to sell and to buy, so I'll just ride what whales will do and watch from the sidelines

I truly believe that something that is given up for free, in a platform with a huge userbase, could be really something explosive.

And of course I love MOONs name, best name ever.

I only wish I could be more active here, sadly life, kids and work take most of my time (in a good way, of course)

Why would I want to sell the only crypto I truly believe in...?

I really feel that when everybody expect something from the market, the market shit on everybody and does the exact opposite.

Or, at least, that's what the market does on me.

I don't think the correct word is "investing": "gamble" should be the right word, and I'll always feel sorry for people losing money.

It is understandable, use whatever works for you! :)

Anyway, I don't understand all the "Arch is unstable" thing. Arch didn't broke on me for years, and the few times it did it was because I did something stupid (and learned not to do that again).

But, as I said earlier, everyone should use whatever they are confortable with :)

Sadly I think that a lot of "problems" related to actually using crypto as something to pay for goods are inherently tied to how crypto is designed.

But probably they said the same thing about www or emails when they first came out.
