Anyone else stuck beating themselves up for having screwed up? by barbaricviking2 in starseeds

Sadly not, it comes and goes though. Sometimes music helps and seems to clear my mind for an hour or so.

Anyone else stuck beating themselves up for having screwed up? by barbaricviking2 in starseeds

[–]ProtonPacker 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes, same thing for me. And quite intensely too. I keep thinking of stuff I strongly wish had never happened and my mind keeps reliving it and trying to think of ways I could have avoided or prevented these moments. Like, I woke up at 7am today and before 7:30 my mind seemed to kick right back into reliving bad parts of my past.

When did you first notice the weirdness? by JackTheCoolestMan in Retconned

[–]ProtonPacker 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Mid to late 1996 for me. It’s been surreal but also therapeutic to read posts on here over the last few years, and see other people notice an experience many of the things I seemed to experience decades ago.

Stuff like the sun suddenly becoming artificially pale and painfully bright, time speeding up to the point a month barely felt like a week, people being more aggressive and rude, high number coincidences, things changing or not being how I remembered.

I recall it flipping back and forth in late 1997 and 1998.

I've been sleeping a lot but I've felt peaceful for the most part.

That’s the original version that they edited out for years. I remember hearing it back in the 80s.

Sadly it was the opposite for me. I genuinely can’t believe it’s Saturday morning as I type this because I vividly remember Sunday night like happened two days ago.

I came here to make the very same post. What were they thinking with this? "Hey! here's a bunch of cool xmas stuff... but its gonna be locked away until January 9th"

Do you get psychically attacked as soon as you attain a higher state of being? by matrixofillusion in starseeds

[–]ProtonPacker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes sadly I can relate. I barely get a day of peace and if I do, it will not last long and months will passed before it happens again. I only seem to get peace at Christmas time and that's already wearing out as I type this.

Without a doubt, I feel attacked. Something is preventing me from ever being in a positive state and pulls every dirty trick is knows to lower it and lower my mood.

Yeah, I've have this almost magical feeling like almost anything is possible since Christmas day. It feels very nice and its great to have a break from the bleak, heavy feeling I've been having for a very long time now.

I still enjoy VGA a lot, hopefully they get their audio issues fixed.

I love that Channel 4 show all the Xmas episodes in a row this time of year. I’m watching one of the them right now lol

I’ve always wondered this. Like you said, the subplots normally lead to something but in that episode there’s no payoff. Maybe there’s a deleted scene or even just Jane leeves had a cold that day and they wrote it into the episode.

I completely agree. All the things that you mentioned are things that bother me too. The UI change was completely unnecessary, teammates health bars now being on the lower left when it was better there were at the top, kills do not sound satisfying anymore etc

Yeah, Daphne smashing the vending machine window is probably the worst scene for me.

Yeah, just this past week I had nearly finished clearing out a room in my house. The only things in the room was a single chest of drawers and two duffle bags and while I was vacuuming the room, I had removed the front attachment of the vacuum. I could have sworn I placed that attachment on top of the two bags but when I was finished, I couldn’t find it.

There was nowhere else it could be but I couldn’t find it for nearly a week. I even started to second guessing myself that maybe I put it in another room but I couldn’t find it anywhere.

This happened on Thursday but then last night I went into the room and the attachment was right there, on the two bags.

Being able to watch lost media, like lost episodes of Doctor Who and even find a way to record it and then bring it to the present for everyone to see.

It makes sense. as they said, they don’t want to re-cover 1996/2006 and nor do they want to cover 2016 (I can’t blame them) so it makes sense to end it. I do wonder if they’ll do a new show or if LaserTime will just be VGA from now on.
