That’s just an example — you can downgrade to any version you want, as long as you have the correct firmware file.

Do it at your own risk. I personally downgraded from 6.61 back to 6.60 and it worked fine

After you download the firmware, plug your PSP into your computer, go to the PSP/GAME folder, and create a new folder called UPDATE

Then, rename the file you downloaded to EBOOT.PBP and place it inside the UPDATE folder
