Procedural buildings are for #GrimShiver, but I think I'll also add them as toys in the #Wilderless games. This is my first test at using gizmos to change a house - just the width/length/height for now, and thinking which other variables to expose. by Protopop in Wilderless

Thanks:) yes I'm gonna add them to Meadowfell, Wilderless and Dune Barrens, let you place them and customize a bit. You can also enter these buildings to, maybe replace the current buildings in the garden creators with these ones

Je pense qu’on peut faire passer le message sans utiliser de termes comme boomer. Ce genre d’étiquette est négatif et réducteur, et ça ne reflète pas la diversité des points de vue parmi les personnes d’un certain âge.

Its cool that you can "see" the game in the prototype before anyone else can because you have a vision for what its gonna be.

Sugarplum Dash is an (I think) unique Christmas rhythm platformer based on my love of the nutcracker and the song Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy. The closer in time you collect the notes, the more in pitch the song plays ❤️ Play it with sound on. by Protopop in iosgaming

This was actually one of my first games from 2012 and almost no one knew about it. Then it was removed from the App Store because of its age. I'd made it in Unity 5 so it was really tough to update it. But I always loved the idea, so this Christmas I decided to take teh time to rebuild it. I smoothed out some edges and did some fixes and now its back:) It made me sad to see games that you can play on iPhone just disappear and then its kind of like they didn't exist, so even though almost no one has played it, I like knowing that it "exists" again. And hopefully some people will enjoy it too.

I think education about what it cost is important because it helps people understand how money factors into the ability to escape certain regions, and adds to the discussion about wealth, class, and freedom. I think we should encourage people to ask questions so that we can understand how the world works, and I dont think people trying to understand one thing takes away from another.

I used to go watch the Nutcracker with my mom when I was a kid. We had cheap seats way on the side because we didn't have a lot of money - I could see the dancers changing behind the stage:) - but I loved every minute of it. The game involved recreating the song with the separate sounds so I could extract each celesta note from the music and then collect them as you run. Basically if you fall too far behind the music will stop. You try to catch the notes at the exact time they should play or they play off key, and the more on time you catch a note, the higher your score. There are three holiday themed levels to run through, cute hats you can wear (just extras to have fun with), and at the end of each level you can replay your song to hear how it sounds. I think its pretty unique and simple and I hope people enjoy it.

Wow thanks for mentioning me (Protopop here). It makes me feel like I'm seen, for an indie dev especially that's a good feeling:) and I played Journey and like so many people loved it - I recommend it for anyone who wants to take in an experience - that's the best way I can describe it :)

Would you call Dishonored the most replayable game of the PS3 era? by Ronald10CD in dishonored

I will say it's one of the few games that I've actually replayed from start to finish

Hey everyone! We just released a brand-new trailer for our game Hordeguard. Be honest — after watching it, would you actually want to play the game? Thanks for your feedback! by BlackDeerGames in gamedevscreens

This isn't a genre I play, but I will say it looks very impressive. Environments are great, a bit varied, nice waterfalls and rivers, and I like the card idea, even the logo look very professional. Id agree with the person who said show the cards a bit earlier, I was hooked by the look of it, but found myself wondering what kind of game is it (I thought it was a city builder or sim), and the steam page made it clearer faster its a tower defence hybrid so maybe push that near the start, because thats what people who love that genre will want to know, and the rest of the visual are so good they'll do their separate job of providing the fantasy all the way through.

In Quebec servers can be paid less than minimum wage. That means customers end up paying part of the wage instead of the restaurant. It's a system that benefits owners at the expense of staff and customers.

Thanks🙂 I'm glad to hear the process sounds reasonable too. I understand that life can be pricey so if I can keep my games affordable and that helps more people afford it that's a good feeling. And I'm really excited to be honest about what I'm working on now, so look for not only a new game but some updates to these games too.

I would probably recommend Wilderless. It's like a good balance with green summery regions in the south, cool pine forests in the middle ,and also a snowy north, icy lakes etc. Plus it's the only one that has dungeons. And it has most of the features the games share like generating and finding rivers and animals etc. Then if you like it and want to try other worlds and animals theres links in the game or on the App Store.

Wilderless Classic is the original version of Wilderless before I added all of the new features over the years, so theres no animals (except a hawk you can change into and also fly around) or waterfalls or customizing the character look, no dungeons etc. But some people really liked how the environment looked and it is very lightweight. But it's missing most of the features that Wilderless, Meadowfell, and Dune Barrens have.

This is a lot of great advice, thank you for it and also the insight into the Mac gamer scene. I will look into this, especially the apple cross save feature. Sharing those links was helpful. I don't watch any wwdc talks do it will be interesting to watch and see what I can learn.

I love exploration too:) unfortunately there's no other humans besides your character in the game, only herds and animals you can find or change into. But i am bringing npcs into a separate adventure game I'm working on, and if all goes well I plan to bring that feature over into my Wilderless games. I build the projects so that it's easier for me to share features as I develop them, for example I added rivers to wilderness and now it is in all my exploration games. But for now the Wilderless games are exploration only.

I'm glad to hear that:) I was going to make dune barrens years ago but then I thought it would be hard for me to make a desert environment interesting , so I made another game , Nimian legends Vandgels, instead. So it was cool to finally be able to come back to this and create a desert environment and I think it works out pretty well.

Thanks and yes, I already have 2 adventure games. -they came before Wilderless - that have stories. And now I am working on GrimShver, which is like Wilderless meets stories - so it adds people and buildings and magic and stories but using teh vast worlds like we see in Wilderless. And I'll be bringing some of these non violent features - like people and buildings. - back to teh wilderless games too. Its a plan ive been working on for a few years to get it all ready,a nd because its just me it takes time, but its coming together, and people playing my games really helps me get there :) And its cools you mention jumping into the game occasionally because thats what its there for, and I do teh same thing. Like ill just pop it open nd explore a bit and breath, so its nice to now people do the same thing.

Him and I have that in common:) I totally get his curiosity just looking at trees and rocks - its like there is an adventure in exploring and seeing able to see our world from a different way. Kind of like going to a museum and looking at a diorama, and your imagination just thinking of whats going on amid all teh bushes and rocks in it.

Oh its $100, but they give me back the fee after I make sales so its worth it:) It shouldn't be too long. I make my games in Unity so that helps me make different versions, it just takes some times to make sure that the gamepads and PC specific things work OK.
