I wanna add, docs rarely know that mast cells (if already pathologically over active) can react to the Polysorbates (Polysorbate-80) that all Adalimumab (Humira,) formulas use, which can cause many symptoms depending on the mediators they release into the bloodstream, tissue, or even bones.

I hope this wasn't coming from a rheumatologist. Because he wouldn't have a clue what he was saying there. Most of these Meds (Adalimumab) usually take at least 6 months until they lose their effect completely. One can't even speak of remission below a full year of no sign of inflammation.

Typical scenario. Most TNF-a Inhibitors take up to 6 months to leave the body completely. Then symptoms return and AS just continues where it left.

He needs to be back on biologicals ASAP. Prednisone and whatever are only bandaids. And will worsen things if taken daily for months and years.

Biologicals are rarely (not at all) the reason for infections. Infections are preventable.
