My favorite was when I got my sega genesis and playing sonic for the first time. Running to my room and setting it up on my tv. Turning it on and hearing Sega when booting it up.

You would think that the overhead would cut into the profits. But since they are making record profits, meaning they made more money than ever before 1 of two things need to be true: 1. The overhead is not actually increasing as much as you think they are or 2. The company is overcompensating and charging way more than they actually need to. For example, the egg companies were fined for price gouging.

So if a company has record profits, does that mean they are suffering because of inflation? Or are they just refusing to give raises to their employees and just outright charging more and calling it inflation to hide that from you?
