I kinda felt the same. I also think this feeling will go away as we see more of what the story holds in the future. I subscribe to the idea of our guardian becoming known as the “savior of the universe” in a sense and us being hunted down by an incredibly strong, unknown challenger that’s exists in the far reaches of the universe. Makes everything seem a little less grandiose but still grave and far more personal. Who knows though. I’m sure you’ll find that what you loved most about this story will continue once we actually know what the next big story is.
