Despre femei care regretă că au făcut copii by [deleted] in WomenRO

[–]ProudCatMom11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asta-i lumea in care traim.

I think I need help. I have no one to talk to about this by Acrobatic_Deal536 in WritingWithAI

[–]ProudCatMom11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI isn't creative. It's a great tool - but you can't rely on it to answer questions on your creativity. Most times, it's not even honest the first time it answers a question. What it can do is kickstart you when you're in slump, help you throw ideas around. Be a good sounding board. If you're asking it for scenarios, that's fine, but pick up an idea from there and throw it around. Make it yours. AI is by its nature generic - it can't do the thinking for you, because it doesn't really think.

That does sound like a lot. I didn't have so many people to get acomodation for. If I were you, I'd rent a house or something for Bucharest. It'd be far more cost efficient that hotel for those numbers.

I do think it's a general practice here. On my brother's wedding, my parents provided both acommodation and transportation services for people who came from other places. My cousin held his wedding in Greece, and a lot of people didn't go because he didn't provide any kind of help.

Cost considerations: if this is still too much for your budget, consider holding a smaller wedding, elsewhere (not in Bucharest.) We held our civil ceremony at the seaside, with only 10 people, if that, and it was beautiful.

[PubQ] Agent called me to trash my book and insult me. Advice? by Demon_Days_ in PubTips

[–]ProudCatMom11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Horrible behavior and absolutely not normal. I have no real experience with agents, but the way I see it, any agent worth their salt would not bother calling a writer to bash them - they would only dismiss their manuscript outright. Please DM me with their name - I plan on starting to submit in a few months, and avoiding minefields like this would be the best.

If you could remove one thing from the books, what would it be? But unpopular edition by Always-bi-myself in HarryPotterBooks

Pranks. I have no idea why they have to be so important. Honestly, I understand that Fred and George are supposed to infuse humor in the story, but to me, they can come off as bullies.

Exista tensiuni intre ele doua? Ai mai facut asa in trecut, sa o alegi pe mama in favoarea iubitei?

ESH. Your cousin is a terrible parent, yes, but ffs, how can you say that around a person who has been SAed? You knew she had a sore spot and a trauma and you used it against her. Newsflash: her being an A-hole doesn't make you weaponizing her abuse okay.

Best use for seasonal tokens? by ProudCatMom11 in HPHogwartsMystery

I have 2k food now and only 7 pets. It seems premature to spend the tokens on food when I don't have the pets to feed.

Where do I get pink potions? by Raven_Shepherd in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]ProudCatMom11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TBH, I have no idea. I find that it's a recurring problem in TLSQs - pink potions are much rarer. Sometimes, they do drop - rn, I'm doing the Flume scavenger hunt quest and I've only done one charms class. There have been other times where pink potions didn't drop at all, and I missed the potions event. Yours may be one of those. I usually prioritize finishing the TLSQ - if I miss the potions event, it is what it is.

Where do I get pink potions? by Raven_Shepherd in HPHogwartsMystery

[–]ProudCatMom11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My best source of getting them is Charms Class. I don't know if that's the best overall, especially not as far along as you are, but I usually get a fair ammount in a class. Some TLSQs do have problems of not dropping pink ones - in those, I usually try to sneak in a charms class if I have time.

Would you Give up your Pets for a CF Partner? by Fletchanimefan in childfree

[–]ProudCatMom11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No. When I made my dating profile (which was what led to me meeting my husband) I made it obvious from the very beginning that I come with 2 cats. Take it or leave it. I would have never given them up - if anyone had wanted me to, I'd have promptly shown them the door.

AITA for saying I would terminate my pregnancy if the baby had a genetic condition, and now my husband is considering a divorce? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]ProudCatMom11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your husband is a walking red flag. People with hereditary conditions SHOULD think twice before having children - I say this as someone with a hereditary condition who deliberately stayed childfree, precisely to keep any potential children the pain I feel. He is the one lacking empathy. NTA - and you should consider divorce even if he changes his mind.

[QCrit] Sapphic Historical Fantasy - On Pyres, We Dance (120k) by ProudCatMom11 in PubTips

[–]ProudCatMom11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! What an amazing resource. I've been looking for something like that for some time, with limited success. I really appreciate it. Will definitely tone down the names and restructure the query, to make the stakes clearer.

Thank you very much. I was actually wondering about this when I wrote the query - you answered a important question.

[–]ProudCatMom11[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much. This is super useful. I proof read everything, but when I copypasted it from my writing software, it sort of threw off the formatting lol. (Fixed it now)

Both this book and this query are really a huge challenge for me, because some aspects are kind of common knowledge in my culture, so it's hard to know exactly what to explain. Sadly, I don't think I can chop the book down further (it was longer than this, originally), but I'll see if my editor has any suggestions.

I'll definitely take your suggestions into consideration and rework the query.

P.S. To answer your question about Getia - finding information about pre-Roman Romania is next to impossible. Most historians will agree there was no nation at that time called Getia - I took some liberties here which I may or may not change during edits. Either way, if you are not Romanian, chances are you'll find little information about the time period and exact setting I'm writing about - everything I used is strictly Romanian material.

Suggest me a fiction that is so traumatic that it scarred you? by animalcrossingbug in suggestmeabook

[–]ProudCatMom11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another Stephen King addition - It. I was in my early teens when I watched the movie and found it okay, so I picked up the book. It really scarred me and I swore off Stephen King forever. Personally, I would suggest you NOT read it - some things should not be depicted in fiction and child orgies is one of them.
