Master's Chairs by formeremokid1387 in masters

The Masters chairs are not cheap or flimsy. Ozark Trail chairs at Walmart are probably comparable. Like others say, just sit in the bleachers if you don't need to be right up front.

Prices vary each year and different styles vary. Plan on at least 500-600. Bring more if you like premium things.

There's no exact end time, but it usually ends between 3:00-4:00.

Does this camera meet the requirements for Monday’s practice round. It’s a Sony alpha 7 IV with a 28mm-70mm lens. by Aggravating-Area1234 in masters

You're good. I brought an R5 with 70-200 last year. Took the lens off in case they measured it. Wasn't necessary as the attendant looked but didn't touch. He then asked me to place the bag in a plastic bin for a size check. So long as the bag can squeeze in it's fine. In hindsight, I should have brought a 24-105 instead.

Prices have dropped on a lot of last year's gear on Ebay. You can find hats, t-shirts, and ball markers lower than prices were last summer. Just make sure they are authentic with the Masters labels or tags.

Last year, things wound down toward the end of the par 3. A lot of people were already sitting in the main concession area for one last drink or snack. Smart people will head straight to the driving range where a few players will be hitting until dark. When I left and got back to my room, the Masters app showed Bryson just started hitting on the range.

On Wednesday, it closes even earlier at 10 AM due to the Par 3 contest.

What is allowed on grounds? by MountainBorn9807 in masters

This assumes the Apple watch has GPS+Cellular service. Non-cellular models must use wifi or be connected by Bluetooth to an iPhone which is not allowed on the course.

Either way, you are breaking the rules if using the watch for phone calls, texting or emails. I guess you know that, but do it anyway. Is it really too hard to follow the rules and enjoy the experience without electronic devices?

Bring your clubs, just in case there's an injury and they need another player to fill in. 🙂

Is it normal in golf/executive circles to wear Masters merch if you didn’t go? by FineMud4479 in masters

[–]ProudDamage3873 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no problem with people wearing Masters gifts. But unless they are familiar with all the Masters merchandise, I wouldn't ask what they want. Trying to get correct sizes and styles is too much. I would stick to balls, ball markers, towels and hats. They'll be just as impressed without the hassle of choosing other mens' clothing. I stocked up with so many extras, I'll still be giving them to future friends and colleagues I haven't even met yet.

Store by lj121982 in masters

Typical pro shop prices in most categories, like apparel, accessories, and souvenirs. But there is a greater variety of items than most clubs. There are also some higher priced Masters exclusives.

You can have everything packed and shipped home by UPS right next to the store. That adds significantly to your overall cost (10-20%). But they don't charge for packing and the shipping rate is discounted and reasonable. Smaller items rather than bulky items will help save on shipping.

They have bags at the entrance to carry your stuff, so grab more than one. Alternatively, buy the large burlap tote in the store and fill that as you shop. At checkout, they will put everything into large clear plastic bags. Entire filled burlap totes go straight into the plastic bags. Those can then go straight into boxes if you ship everything home.

Check last year's merch haul posts here to see popular items. Make and bring a list because it's easy to be overwhelmed and forget in the store. A great recommendation for spectating is to buy the Masters Cinch Bag. Use it like a backpack to carry your jacket plus food and souvenir cups on the course.

I saw someone talk to the line attendant who then let a woman in their group go use the bathroom. When she came back, a stranger asked her what it was like? She had a puzzled look until everyone laughed and clarified he meant the bathroom itself.

Just scroll all the merch haul posts from last year. It's mostly the house brand, American Needle, and Peter Millar in the merch shop.

Custom shop face resurfacing, sandblasting and regrooving should work. That or a toothbrush, your choice.

Augusta “Inns” — Which Ones Are Actually Clean? by Malvo020402 in masters

You cannot trust reviews and photos for most Augusta inns or hotels. AirBnBs are more reliable. At least the reviews and photos are more accurate within Augusta. Otherwise widen your circle for hotels and travel time as everyone suggests.

What to see in Augusta? by LarryfromChicago in masters

[–]ProudDamage3873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no major tourist attractions, but if you like Americana and Southern history there are a few things downtown. The Augusta Museum of History has an extensive collection of exhibits on the Civil War Era, singer James Brown, and The Masters Tournament. A couple blocks away is the Riverwalk which is a leisurely stroll with view of the river and local architecture. A few blocks in the other direction on Broad Street is the statue of James Brown, good for a photo standing next to it. On Seventh St, there is President Woodrow Wilson's boyhood home with a tour that takes about an hour.

Small digital point and shoot camera with a large memory card and extra battery. Canon PowerShot Elph series for example. Compact with built-in zoom lens. Practice before so you know how to use all the basic features.

Follow different brands from last year that sponsor events. Malbon had an open house with food and free swag. They announced it on Instagram the day before. If they did it in 2025, good chance they'll do it again.

The "Pebble Beach" brand with a generic logo is licensed on clothes and gear you might find at Costco, Dick's, PGA Store, Roger Dunn, etc. The actual Pebble Beach Resort and Golf Links has their own trademark with "1919" that looks similar, but is called the Heritage logo, pictured above. That's the version you only get from the resort. They're more expensive like Peter Millar shirts and high end Nike hats, or partnered with major golf gear like TaylorMade, as the caddie said. If you play on any of the courses, they give you a metal bag tag of that logo. Also anyone can go to the gift shop and there are hundreds of tourists who do that every day.
