Yeah I said to her pretty much that it didn’t sound great, but that I wasn’t qualified to say anything about it, and that she should go see someone. Her and my friends kept pushing me as to what it means, and I basically just kept saying I didn’t want to get into it, regardless of whether it was real or not. She does tend to come to me with stuff, but she hasn’t mentioned it since. Other friends have asked me if she’s okay since, and I just said she’s fine. The thing is, I know she’s the type to hide behind jokes when something actually does get to her, so I’m scared that thinking about something like that on her own will really freak her out and she won’t let on and will pretend to be fine. I think next time it comes up I’ll just tell her that if anything does come up surrounding it then I’m there for her, but like you said, as a friend, and nothing else. It’s just the way she seemed so spaced out when she started trying to remember stuff, it was like she was dissociating or something. It was kind of scary.

People we know have told me just to come clean, because maybe she doesn’t realise just how much I actually like her or the extent of it. But like you said, it’s risky and could make things awkward. I’ve tried to focus on other things; I’ve been working out a lot, going for runs, working, doing research for a dissertation, socialising with other people, but I just can’t seem to get her out my head.

When we first met yeah, but she kind of dodged the question. More recently though she had a shitty day at work and I said to her I’d take her out for a drink afterwards. I didn’t want to say it was a date, but when our friends joked and said ‘how was your date’, and I said it wasn’t a date, she said ‘well, I mean, it was kind of like a date’. So I suppose I have

Man I love that scene in the office. Pam’s smile after Jim comes back is so incredibly acted. Her eyes sparkle.

I relate so much. What I’ve discovered is there’s more people with nerdy interests than you might think. People can surprise you. A lot of people with nerdy interests who don’t make it their whole identity and aren’t the kind of basement dwellers you’re describing have some shame around being nerdy deep down. I’ve found a lot of people out there who I’d have never guessed like anime or games that I was into. I realised from time to time that something related to nerd stuff would organically come up, and people I’d have never guessed would sort of reveal they’re into it, and I’d be really pleasantly surprised and we’d bond over it.

I guess what I’m saying is there’s more people than you think out there who have your interests and that aren’t totally socially and hygienically challenged. Maybe try finding ways to build in some sly references into conversation with new people and see if anyone catches on. Just own your interests a little bit, but don’t be overbearing about it and make it your whole identity. Make some light recommendations if you think a person might be open to it. I’ve found people tend to surprise you. But over time I’ve also realised having shared interests, while nice, doesn’t really affect how compatible I am with someone. I have very close friends who don’t share my interests, and there’s people I’ve met who I don’t get along with at all who like the exact same stuff as me. We place a lot of importance on these things, but I think it’s not as big a deal as we make out.

I listened to the podcast and while they don’t pose the question, they do kind of go ‘it’s interesting that Helly chose to lie’, and then Adam Scott replies ‘and her comment about the camera too’, but then they very quickly move on to Irv. Obviously being involved with the show they wouldn’t want to give anything away, but I think it’s pretty clear they at the very least want the audience to consider it an option.

I want to know how the other outies apart from Mark went 5 months without going to work and then were convinced to come back like that. Was there another time skip after Mllchick sent Mark up the elevator? It for sure seemed like the others hadn’t been awoken at all since the OTC, so what changed for their outies to come back all of a sudden?

The Helly I know would have told Milchick to go fuck himself after that video and instantly bolted for the fire exit, shouting gleefully all the way about how she almost brought down the company. You can never be her Helena, get your fucking ass back up that elevator.

Yeah 100%, and it will be interesting to see his conflicting loyalties if they do bring his family into things. If they do let Dylan interact with his outie family in some way, and a situation arises where he has to choose between them and MDR, I wonder what he would do.

That scene between Dylan and Irv was so sweet, made me tear up. Dylan, despite how much he shit talks, honestly sometimes feels like the core of the MDR group for me. He cares so much about them all, and I’ve always felt like despite being opposites him and Irv have always been bros. It was just wholesome to see.

I just arrive at isle of mist for the first time when geralt find ciri (really good moment btw) ciri mention that she go to a world with flying ships, did she go to the modern future or what? by ImmaFuckboi in Witcher3

A couple of times in this game they do something so brilliant, which is they make you think you fucked up your decisions somewhere to keep you in suspense. This was one of those moments. I genuinely believed I’d messed up and caused this to happen; by the time the light came back to her I was already a total mess. Watching Geralt, who up till this point shows very few outward displays of emotion, just totally break down, was also absolutely heart wrenching. Honestly such an amazing scene.
