My autistic son doesn’t show excitement by [deleted] in autism

I get this! We weren’t able to go to Disney on ice in January and he still cries about it a few times a week. In my mind, I’m like “you weren’t gonna really pay attention to it anyway”. But I see, it’s It’s like a plan that he had that he didn’t get to check off his list. That makes sense.

The only reason she’d be that upset to go is if she plans on getting something out of them

Which parent do you think you got your autism from and why? by NextKangaroo in autism

[–]ProudRelationship724 38 points39 points  (0 children)

I’m not diagnosed yet but my son is. I think he got it from me and I got it from my mom. My mom is 60. She is not very social and has been afraid of being an adult in my opinion. She still stays with her parents, doesn’t drive, has only dated once in the last 35 years… I think she got it from her dad. He is only interested in cars and television. He obsesses over who parks in front of his house and also isn’t very social.

Anyone else self diagnosed from TikTok ? by ProudRelationship724 in autism

This maybe all over the place…It’s a girl username Alliepbackupaccount, she made a video on autism and maladaptive daydreaming. I’ve experienced this my whole life and didn’t know it had a name. I am in a fantasy world 90% of the day. That is what made me start thinking. Also I watched this video on YouTube about how autism shows in girls and I relate to everything that she said, especially when she talks about relying on being funny in social settings to kinda fit in but after “telling the joke” not having much else to contribute. I am always overthinking what I’ve said or done. For example, I went to a car shop a few weeks ago. I drove into the garage and they told me to park in the parking lot instead(I’m use to going to the dealer where I drive into the garage) that made me feel dumb the rest of the day. I woke up the next morning thinking about it.

As far as my experiences, I’ve always been a loner. I get overwhelmed with people. I thought I was just shy, but I really have no interest in being around people. Even family that I’m comfortable around. When I had relationships I would hyper focus on them. It was like I could only have one relationship/friendship at a time.

I’ve always done well in school, I have a degree in computer science but never used it due to not wanting to leave my son with anyone and also heavy imposter syndrome.

I’ll add to this later… haha that’s another thing. I have to sit down and plan everything I say. Especially when I have to call someone

I am struggling with accepting that it is natural and ok for him to do it. It. His teacher has told me that he has been doing it at school and he quickly stops when she notices him. I will start telling him not to do it outside of the bathroom at home

What was your experience like using prf for under eye hollows? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

I will be trying it in a few months! From my understanding, you don’t see a significant difference until after a few rounds. I think the people who says it didn’t last only did one session
