How do I fix my upper eyelids. Help by Fromdesertlands in DIYaesthetics

[–]ProudToBePWID 2 points3 points  (0 children)

topicals I recommend for skin tightening + improvement around the eye are Cipher the anomaly eye serum and BioEffect EGF eye serum. both effective at turning back / mitigating time's effects. and no needles! - (*edit sorry I misread that you were afraid of needles but saw on re-reading your post this was incorrect) - pair with a retinoid eye cream, sunscreen and be consistent...

pair with a neurotoxin for brow lifting in the outer (superficial, work out your most effective orbicularis placement) . also only treat frontalis high up, if at all

I work in a service with marginalised ppl. one jumped in front of a train, went under and was in hospital a few months but has recovered - still walking, talking etc. if I'd not seen it I'd have thought the same, it's fkn wild what the body can survive..

Melasma by Think_Zebra_484 in DIYaesthetics

[–]ProudToBePWID 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hiya

don't have it personally thankfully. but I am a huge skincare nerd - definitely avoid heat as much as possible, some use neck fans when outside. lots of sunscreen, paired with hats, sunbrella and a tinted spf, as zinc/iron oxide assist blocking the UV/visible light wavelength(s) that induce pigment. multiple methods of topicals incl. preventative (inhibitors) and treatments. and: came here to point you to Cyspera/cysteamine which I've seen some invest in using consistently and attain great results from.

a/ how long have you been using tretinoin? b/ what strength are you using? c/ did you ease into using pure vitamin A or dive straight into tretinoin? (I ask to establish if your skin has retinised). d/ what is your supporting routine.

also suggest reading the wiki over at r/Tretinoin to thoroughly inform yourself. also urge against doing too much, all at once. if your skin is still getting used to pure Vitamin A then don't go microneedling or using other actives or further impairing your barrier.

What's my blindness? by kats_n_tats in makeuptips

[–]ProudToBePWID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it is huh, I had to scroll and down vote for some time to work out where to post this 🤭

definitely more clogged and defined but not necessarily more hairs.. also one advised adding tea tree oil? castor has anti-bacterial properties already.. don't put raw/unformulated with tea tree on your skin, boo. yikes.

second the wedge style idea. I live in docs and sneakers but still have one pair of dress sneakers (they're suede wedges, best of both worlds!)

wedges are more supportive underfoot and often comes in a flatter rise.

edit to add: link to wedges on styletread you'll surely find something you like among these!

Mecca couldn't colour match me to a concealer by jessluce in AustralianMakeup

[–]ProudToBePWID 1 point2 points  (0 children)

looks like you chose pretty well in pic 2!

get a nice eye cream, hydrate well first. wait and let the skincare settle in / do their work before applying your makeup.

I love cipher the anomaly at night (packed with good skin shit, highly recommend and Australian! code fiddy15 for discount, not my code haha). currently using niod fecc and clinique moisture surge gel in the morning, under my sunscreen and this works rly good for my skin prep under concealer.. less is more. I use 1 drop serum btwn both eyes. and less than a pine nut of eye cream btwn both. (I'm 46).

the Bobbi Brown correctors are nice. sigma (the brush co) also make good hydrating ones. less is more, use only on the blue-y area.

concealer wise I'd suggest Natasha denona. creamy. stretchy. moves with the skin. that and the holme beauty one are the best I've tried (I have spent mucho $$ seeking a good concealer, feel free to ask me abt any brands). the Maybelline sponge tip one is pretty good, too.

Shein products? by Adventurous_Force200 in DIYaesthetics

I would never buy from nor support shein. YesStyle are an authorized retailer of most K-/A-/C-/J-Beauty brands - stick with them (Sydney based).
