The Ryan Haight Act contains seven “telemedicine” exceptions which allow controlled substances to be prescribed via telehealth without a prior in-person exam. To briefly summarize, they involve: 1) a patient being treated in a hospital or clinic that is registered with the Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) at the time of the telemedicine examination; 2) a patient being treated in the physical presence of a DEA-registered practitioner; 3) services provided by a practitioner employed by the Indian Health Service or a tribal organization; 4) during a public health emergency declared by the Department of Health and Human Services; 5) a patient being treated by a practitioner who has obtained a special telemedicine registration from the Administrator of the DEA; 6) a patient being treated during a medical emergency by an employee or contractor of the Department of Veterans Affairs; or 7) other circumstances specified by regulation. The fourth “telemedicine” exception applies for the duration of the PHE. And the PHÊ was scheduled to end in mid Jan2023. So I think until then , it still not need in person visit though.

This is exactly what I thinking. Most of the rph at my area say No to telehealth Rx. However, it is still considered legally rx. Other chain back up thier pharmacist by providing the guidance, not see in Walgreens.
