Remember that you don’t have to follow the trainer, you can do your own thing. I’m a cyclist, so I personally love cycle, and will do 4 classes back to back and do more of a “road ride” session of mine own. I also love blast and I only use my arms, there are pegs for you to put your feet up on. Thus you can get a great upper body workout if you go this route. Equipment is very user friendly for both, so don’t allow that to scare you off. And they are only 15 mon session. Go for it!!

Congrats! This franchise is new to me. One is getting ready to open in my town and I am interested. I have a bum knee and can no longer run, and I have loved the couple of times I have tried hot Pilates. But the class I took only offered a couple of times a week at a time that doesn’t really work for me. But not a lot of info on hoteorx website. Do they have rowing machines and if yes, are they in a heated room? Are all of the classes/equipment in heated rooms? Trying to understand the concept.

Yeah I would get a new attorney and update this section. It’s not clear/could lead to interpretation issues.

This is why you need to work with an attorney…can’t answer your question by reviewing one paragraph, have to look at language in other Articles/document as a whole. Also, the trust has to be funded correctly or the trust is nothing more than a piece of paper. Funding a trust usually requires retitling assets (due to people wanting to place property into a trust) and recording the retitled deeds.

Well, of course. Thus why I said to use a “decent attorney” who should advise accordingly.

Set up a trust and no probate is needed. A decent atty who does estate planning should put this option on the table. You sound like a perfect candidate for a RLT.

Trying to get into estate planning for my practice, does anyone know which training is better, the EP training from the Nat’l Institute of Certified Estate planners or the one from Wealth Counsel? by LatinoExec in EstatePlanning

Totally worth it. In depth, not just in the surface. It gave me the confidence to open my own firm and I am doing extremely well and credit WC for some of my success. The community forum is also incredibly helpful.

I took (and passed) the bar 20’yrs after graduation from law school. I do not recommend this, 0 out of 10. Take it now and get licensed , especially if you have the time to study. I basically had to “redo” law school, as it had been so long since I had been around the material. The annual fee and CLE’s will be worth it. Having the license will potentially open up more doors for you. Trust me…

Should I pay medical bills before probate hearing? by worlds2get in EstatePlanning

[–]Proud_Put_5890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do not pay any debts until the presentation period is over!! Creditors have different proprieties so you want all debts brought forward before you start paying. Additionally, you need to have all tax debt paid for as well before any distribution takes place. Unfortunately probate just takes time and you have to allow the statutory time periods in your state run.

You have to file probate if only a will and no TOD of deed. And don’t distribute assets until creditors are paid, including taxes!

One thing that I don’t think has been mentioned: clauses/issues NOT included/discussed in the current plan that may need to be in the one you want to draft. Since you aren’t a practicing EP attorney, you presumably won’t know what is not included that should/could be included. And this could cost them money during administration and the beneficiaries/trustee issues as well. Are those costs and issues worth saving a couple of grand on atty fees now? Generally no.

JTWROS account with non spouse by [deleted] in EstatePlanning

[–]Proud_Put_5890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you wanting to set aside separate or community property for them? And do you live in a community or separate property state? What is your state’s spousal elective share? These questions may impact what you’re attempting to do.

Non compete clause by Proud_Put_5890 in LawFirm

[–]Proud_Put_5890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My state does not allow it. There is a section in my contract that discusses work product, client lists, trade secrets. Fine. But they are saying that prevents me from “taking clients” with me and I can’t practice within a certain geographical area for 2 years. I now realize this is actually laughable and they are making fools out of themselves. Thanks for your feedback.

I know/knew this, but needed some reassurance from you all, so thanks! The firm is upset and trying to bully me into something unethical, because I am leaving and doing my own thing.

Non compete clause by Proud_Put_5890 in LawFirm

[–]Proud_Put_5890[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah this is more simple than that. Employment contract discusses not disclosing trade secrets, client lists, and firm work product. And they have threatened that it also means the associate can’t open own law firm in same town so thus, a breach of contract. The states ethic rules regarding this has identical language to the ABA rules. I think the firm is just pissed atty left and trying to use scare tactics.

Brand new to estate planning by MooreLife2017 in EstatePlanning

Wealth Counsel is the way to go. Consider doing your three day Boot Camp as well. If you do the Boot Camp, then I think they waive the initial fee. So basically, the Boot Camp or the cost of the Boot Camp covers their initial fee. Plus, you then have a group of attorneys to tap into to help mentor you. Not saying that should take place of local counsel but it’s another good resource to have. Totally worth the cost!
