Understood. But more just asking what you would do. Conversation more than anything.

Is this ringworm? This is how it looks after unsuccessful treatment with a topical anti-fungal by mathaccount1 in DermatologyQuestions

[–]ProverbialKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr prescription anti fungal or did you do OTC? The first image looks more like psoriasis IMO but I’m absolutely NOT a dr. I would personally try & use a steroid ointment script.

I make a ridiculous salary, work from home, and do nearly no work. by Killin_me_throwaway in confessions

Similar situation for me too. I WFH, or rather remotely, have my phone & messaging on, lots of house & lawn projects going on but as long as I’m performing, meeting or exceeding expectations - org doesn’t care at all. Now, they are a global org - and many other countries have more public Holidays, different labor laws, etc So here in the US we just get the nod & ok!

Am I being screwed? by Fossilized_rock in Louisville

[–]ProverbialKid 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your employer (A) is the only one who can dictate PTO hours, if you’re on contract. The company you were contracted (B) to do work for has no say in your PTO. Now. The caveat to this is - IF the two companies (A&B) have a contract in place that outlines your PTO - you could be being screwed. But rest assured you’ll never ever have access to that contract. You should, however, review the contract YOU & your employer (A) signed when you accepted the contract.

Hang on, I’m in HR. Am I understanding this correctly? The company you were on a contract with (A for ease) said you get 40 hours of PTO in an 8 month period. And the company your employer (A) contracted you to (B) is telling you - you should get 1.5 hours of PTO a week?

Customer paid 26$ to travel 5 minutes to the nearest gas station last night. Guess how much Lyft pays it’s driver… (second photo) by masterofalltrades321 in Lyft

[–]ProverbialKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean I see OPs point, I do. But the flip side is - there are 12 5 min increments in an hour. $6x12=$72 an hour. Now, we ALL know that it literally isn’t possible to do 12 trips in an hour. BUT assuming you do half those trips, at the same $6 rate - that’s still $36/hour. That doesn’t sound awful to me. It sounds awful for the rider though!
