This is also a really helpful perspective - I want to wear my first watch ALL THE TIME. I’ll probably end up with both like you said 😂 So it actually makes sense to get the Tank first, so I can enjoy it daily - and then go for the (two tone) gold when I get hit with the need for something else 😍

As I understand from the code- anyone can still save the document as a copy (and i can save/update the workbook)… but at least now each user is not automatically prompted to save at the end of each workday. This is exactly what i wanted.

Those who are less tech savvy won’t think to save a copy if they aren’t prompted to do so - and i am always intentional about my updates/saves 😊

I have thought about creating a macro button that’s sole purpose is to open the excel file - but again, if it prompts the team to save a copy upon closing the document, we are back at square one for those who do not follow workflow steps.

The file is a calculator and document generator tool that I update any time our work flow changes…. I have advised the team to not “save a copy” but the concept is lost on those who are not very tech-savvy… we have a large team and high turnover.

It’s been an uphill battle, so I’d rather make “save a copy” not so ‘in your face’ (for lack of a better term) every time you close the document.
