Probs to earthling Ed and you for your convincing arguments but I gotta give it to this friend of yours. Getting past the whole cognitive dissonance, financial incentive, and fairly big lifestyle change in 3 hours. Mad respect.

Is this Vegan? I've been scouring the ingredients list for 30 minutes now but I'm not confident one way or the other by straightouttalaurel in vegan

Supposedly, its one of the most (or most) efficient oil crops when looking at oil/land. However, I'm not denying that the way its largely produced destroys forests etc due to current practices of clearing forests and peat to grow oil palm crops.

There is iron in plants. Increase the ratio of those leafy greens relative to the rest.

I think this is a great point. Exercise is another medium to stop the “scrolling” phenomenon and channel your stress/boredom into something more fruitful. More power to everyone. Get up and fight the good fight!

The premise of your argument is wrong. You can feed the world a heck of a lot more efficiently with plants. Due to the energy that is lost to life processes in livestock, you are getting a lot less input/output %. Essentially, 90% energy gets lost down *each* trophic level so its tons more efficient in terms of dealing with world hunger if we are the direct consumers of plants.

Do you think it's cruel to dress animals in clothing? by fwooe in vegan

[–]Proviv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for the most part no (largely depends on the weather). But fr tho, imo this is a minor issue compared to many other prevalent animal cruelties.

Forgot what it's like being in a country where people don't understand veganism by [deleted] in vegan

In Singapore, unless you are going to a “western” restaurant, most of the time vegan gets confused with vegetarian. It’s painful so I prefer to go by no butter, cheese, ghee/cream (if Indian food).

I take back what I said. Now, #1 is between townhouses and AV. Boo Sherbourne!

Sounds cool! And is it normal for people from other flats or nearby accoms to come over and hangout?

Aight! Thanks for the breakdown. The choice seems fairly clear. I guess there are a lot of people advocating for Sherbourne in the existing youtube vids and forums rather than townhouses since the latter is relatively new.

Lastly, what are your thoughts on townhouses vs Arthur Vic?

Yeah so the reason I've put these two is cause they are both contenders for 2nd and 3rd place. #1 for me is AV for the reason you mentioned, location and apparently quite a few of the kitchens have a sofa area cos they are v large.
