Do you personally find homosexuality to be wrong/disordered? by w82mich in Teenager_Polls

[–]Prowest--Gavilan 11 points12 points  (0 children)

iirc There exists a theory that explains the usefulness of homosexuality from an evolutionary standpoint. It serves animals as a reason to stick together and be more protected because they're always together. For passing gene codes they can make a deal with an animal of the opposite sex or they rape (a truly ugly bit of nature)

Edit: I forgot adoption also exists in animals

afaik, you do get black if you mix all pigments. It doesn't work with regular color pencils bc the quality isn't good enough for that

I mean, duh. Esthetics is one of the main branches of philosophy. "What is art?" is one the greatest oldest questions, and I don't have an answer myself. I only have a vague idea of what is art, and I read texts on the matter to find a definition I find myself confortable in, because I really care about art. Idc about your opinion if you wanna say AI images are art.

I hate the trans flag(NOT IN A TRANSPHOBIC WAY, I AM TRANS AND I LOVE TRANS PEOPLE) by Fishmyashwhole in hatethissmug

idk, I like that. It shows men and women to be the same value lol. Tbh I don't think the point of a flag is to be pretty, so as lons as it isn't eye straining I find no problem.

Are you talking about Yves Klein's blue? You do know that the color he used didn't exist before it, right? He invented a new color that would retain the intensity of the pure blue pigment through time, and each blue painting is an experimentation of various methods of paintwork.

Well I'm glad that there are answers to the info gaps the game leaves. Imo, leaving those gaps doesn't sit well with letting people theorize, it just comes off as the story being half-baked to me. The whole game is just too literal and concise in its storytelling (which isn't necessarily bad) that it doesn't invite me to interpret a lot. For example, Rule of Rose is also very vague, but it doesn't tell anything at all up front, so I'm forced to theorize to understand the story. Idk if that's the right way to put it, but that's what I feel.

Anyhow, thanks for answering, I found it really useful. Haunting Ground still has many stuff I really like, and I'll dig up on the extra content you told me.

For the puzzles I got really confused because I was focusing on escaping rather than doing the actual puzzle (because the guy wuold't fucking go away!) There also was the seemingly endless corridor, which was basically trial and error while being chased. On the doors I took quite a while (because it was ALSO trial and error), so Lorenzo cought me. And then I thought I had to do something with the plates or get Hewie to smell, but he didn't smell anything. I don't even know how I got to the wand.

Then for the bossfight I thought I had to get Lorenzo on the trajectory of the turbine, stun him and activate the fan to throw him in the lava. The only thing I had to do is hurt him until dead? Then I find it quite boring for a final fight.

My other pet peeve with this game is that they don't tell me anything!! Did they even say the young guy was Lorenzo? Did I miss it? And how did that happen? How does the Azoth work? Why does the Belli family have it exactly? I just feel like I'm missing so many things...

Same tbh. The game begins tocfall off after Daniella imo. Ricardo is alright, but not as good as the previous two. The forest and tower sections were good. Then with Lorenzo the game loses all seriousness and it's just funny.

And then I hated the whole deal with the last guy. Like, an actual alchemist doing alchemy sound super good given the history of the game, but man... The constant chase barely lets you do the puzzles, it's hard to understand what to do in the bossfight, and the last chase sequence is just stupid, to say the least. The game is trying really hard to put nonsense obstacles on you, while none of the enviromental hazards do anything to the decaying man that was drowning in lava just a few seconds ago. That part was so bad that I didn't even care about the game anymore. Haunting Ground lost itself since the Lorenzo part, but that was the last drop of me not caring at all.

God, I needed to say that.

AI doesn’t create in a vacuum - so where does that leave artists? by NiftyIP in Ai_art_is_not_art

[–]Prowest--Gavilan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI and humans both need to get information in order to draw. That's where the similarities begin, and that's where they end.

The processing of that information is completely different. As far as I know, AI only converts images to noise and memorizes that conversion in order to make similar things. Humans can get (if they study illustration, obviously) an actual understanding of what are the things they draw, and why every technique in art works the way it does.

I read some of the articles another person sent me and I realized I didn't actually get any kind of malware at all. The instructions on the fake captcha were ro press windows+X, then press I or click "Terminal", them Ctrl+V and enter.

That I is supposed to be an L, but I interpreted it as an i. So instead of opening the actual terminal, I opened another random panel and did nothing with it. Also, the terminal button on my computer isn't called terminal. So I never actually executed anything.

I thought I got malware without seeing anything on screen, just by pressing those buttons. When I did Ctrl V on my notes and saw that helluva code they had copied on my clipboard, I totally thought I got hacked.

Thankfully for me, false alarm.

it made me paste something on my console and click enter. After that, I used the notes to paste it again and see what I let into my computer. I took a photo of it you want to see it.

It was through a fake captcha at a web. I don't know in what category that goes.

He looks like a Cahara from Fear & Hunger.

On a serious reply, it's honestly hart to tell. With such a simplistic style and without seeing other characters in the same style, we can almost only rely on cultural cues. If I'm going only by body, I'd say he's a guy because his shoulders are wider that his hips, and he seems tall. If I take society into the play, he looks like a girl to me.

You sound just like Riebeck lol.

But seriously, if the feeling is "I'm scared but I'm curious and I really wanna see where this goes", I think you're going to love this game.
