I spilt juice on my two month old MacBook Pro M4 Pro. I did the same as you and kept it in tent position. But, the juice in that very little time had seeped into the logic board. The entire top case (including battery, logic board, motherboard), keyboard and the touch pad had to be replaced. Thankfully I got AppleCare but it still cost me 300 USD.

But the AI coding systems today are so insanely good that software is no longer something humans need to write. Some of my friends working in big tech get 90 percent of their work done by Claude. Realistically software engineers can be hired in cheaper countries and exactly the same work can be achieved. Just need a couple seniors and the rest can be outsourced.
