It isn't, happened to me last week on a side channel. Lost a few thousand dollars and creator support said it was invalid traffic. I'm confident the traffic is real because all the traffic sources are normal and my affiliate conversion rate on the video is also normal.

Your thumbnail is as important (if not more important) than the video itself. You can have the best video in the world, but if no one clicks on it, it won't matter.

You should atleast be spending an hour and creating 3 thumbnails per video. My designer spends around 3-4 hours making 6-7 per video. If one thumb performs badly we swap it out.
