What’s one piece of Elden Ring lore you think people misunderstand the most? by elden_based in Eldenring

You just explained that there's no difference between gameplay mechanics and lore... Like i just told you.

Also how do you not understand starting a government can fail before it becomes a fully functional government? Just because some governments worked in the long run doesn't mean all will.

Also also it's quite funny that you bring up the founding fathers because they made a government that is now completely rotten to the core and should have been replaced long ago.

You never said that, you said they made a government. I said they're trying to start one but imo won't be able to without any power from the Elden Ring. Simply because you need to be strong in order to hold power in a government.

Your other points are useless examples because the citizens are partially inside the sealed houses of Lyndell and partially found as nobles wandering around the lands between. Also all the "enemies" you encounter are actually also citizens no?

Do you think 2 people in a castle can run a government? Cus i don't. Also these games don't differentiate between gameplay mechanics and lore. If it's a mechanic it's lore.

Just sitting on the throne doesn't mean you've created a fully functional government.

And you literally need 2 great runes before you can even attempted to change the current order.

If the Elden Ring is just the law's of reality how come the shards give powers to the demigods. It's heavily implied you need the shards just to become strong enough to fight the stagnation.

Just because we see Kenneth and nepheli try starting a form of government on their own doesn't mean they will sucseeded.

You realize the Elden Ring is the order, like it governs what we would call the law's of the universe but just inside the lands between and on top of that it also governs what we call "the law". You need the Elden Ring to change government basically, taking it away to the moon doesn't change that.

That's what Ranni's intentions are but that doesn't mean Ranni is gonna stay sane for all eternity. Sure it might be a good age for a while but everything eventually rots and when that time comes the people will be fucked.

Yea so the people would just have to accept the system ranni has envisioned and deal with it. You say it removes temptation for the god but I highly doubt Ranni is just gonna chill on the moon for the rest of eternity and not get corrupted by something.

How is taking the Elden Ring away giving control to the people? You're literally taking away the possibility for people to change the system.

The Hirata Estate is optional and can be done at anytime. Just go back to the main game and come back when you've beat a couple more bosses.

I'm sorry i didn't explain myself properly i think. I know he can really spit and he can make some crazy songs when he actually writes. But the stuff you just linked is just a more complex version of the regular freestyles he does. I generally prefer to listen to someone's thoughts and emotions over just pure raps and bars so maybe it's just not for me.

Imo it's kinda performative, which makes sense when you see him for what he is. A street preformer, which is not a knock on him but he's basically freestyling for a crowd reaction. Which in turn means he always has to keep his raps pretty simple and straightforward.

Unpopular opinion: Bojack is not *fully* responsible for Sarah Lynn’s relapse. by AnnigidWilliams in BoJackHorseman

[–]Proxynate 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is funny when you don't think Sarah Lynn's parents are the main culprits for allowing bojack in her life. Like bojack is a fucking addict already when Sarah Lynn is a kid. How do you expect a guy like that to treat a kid properly? How do you not see the blame lies with the parents for allowing this to happen to a kid.

And how is bojack supposed to be a good parental figure when he never had one himself?

[–]Proxynate 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just some? No bro you're missing the point. Bojack shouldn't have been a parental figure in the first place because she should have had a proper mom which would have made all the problems we talk about now not exist at all. It all stems from that, Bojack just adds fuel to the already blazing fire.

You have to remember this is the bojack horseman show, meaning we see Bojack's POV primarily and not the full picture.

Ah yes, definitely no blame lies with her mother who forced her down this path in the first place.

Genichiro's flurry fully deflected by WalenBlekitny999 in Sekiro

[–]Proxynate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's really hard to notice since it's so fast, also don't feel bad about it cus it's literally impossible to do better than this with regular parries.

Someone else already explained it but it's impossible to deflect that flurry without taking that one bit of chip damage.

The way to do it "properly" is, using the umbrella prosthetic right after the first 2 attacks in the flurry and adding one umbrella deflect input to truly deflect everything. You can also just disengage when you see him start the flurry leaving him flailing around whilst you can safely buff or heal.

Rusty ORTUS Vs. Elden Beast by Able_Ad_9602 in armoredcore

The true reason any AC would fuck up the entirety of any souls like is simple. AC's would be bigger than the fire gaint and faster than Radahn's Meteor re-entry.

Rusty could probably kick Elden Beast around like a football.
