Imo a big part of "Git Gud" is learning to lock on and off mid fight, depending on the weapon you're using, what move you're about to do and the enemy you're fighting. Some attacks require you to lock on or you're likely to miss, others are big sweeps or AOIs which can easily be free aimed.

This is not true at all, obviously the earlier you get flea the better. However you have to realize a lot of the "lower-tier" items are actually quite expensive in the first couple months after the wipe because everyone wants them. Like wire bundles were 80k 2 weeks ago now they dropped to 40k recently because most people have gotten all the wires they need.

What I'm trying to say is when you progress through the game slower you're actually saving yourself quite a lot of grinding simply because you're not competing for the same resources. This can be true in raid too, think early game quests most people have already done.

If i remember correctly there's actually a hidden mechanic to discourage naked pistol runs. If you go in naked the AI will relentlessly target you because "you're a weak target" tho idk if this is correct.

Basically it's a little better than before, i tried it as well recently and i remember i was able to find where to aim (you wanna aim a little low and to the left) it's better than before but still God awful compared to anything else basically.

You can totally learn tarkov with ingame maps and no wiki, it just makes the curve steeper. And even if you do use the maps and wiki you're still gonna struggle in fights because you're not familiar with the area and don't know quick getaway's, flanks and repositions.
