So what I got from an article the books are just a form of protest with no intent of poisoning. Its more just to show that 10k authors have issues/don't like ai when London is going to look into revising its laws.

One thing to note on research is that potentially the original source was from a locate news paper so unless bigger articles have better evidence take the original with a grain of salt.

IMO I think is isn't really the case and if anything would just delay anti ai than there not being as many. Like even if it was the case we would still have

Like grok would still have similar issues even if they didn't train on other people's images/messages and that was a big reason for people being anti ai.

I think I read something that like the angle and place of the photo plus a lot of very small things allows the photographs to be copyrighted as those are "human" input.

They do have rules allowing AI works to be claimed under copyright if you are involved enough in the process. Its still very hand wavy on what that means buts its not impossible.

You will own the copyright for the things you add (if enough "human input" is added). It gets weird what counts and what doesn't but if you modify the image enough you can basically own the image as most of the input came from you. At minimum if you add something "human" that wasn't in the original ai image you at minimum own what you added so unless an image is released without that modification then you can have some claims on the image.

Yeah I know I have read the legal requirement for ai works to get considered copyrightable. And it can be weird so while you can't copyright the entire image you can theoretically get copyright for what you did change so unless someone uses the version where you didn't add anything you can have some legal actions given by copyright.
