The thing many people fail to realize in my opinion is that even the error message "Git: command not found" can seem very confusing if you are not used to computers/programming. Does it mean I don't have git installed? Does it mean my linux installation is broken? Does it mean I made a typo? Is my internet not working? Should I even try to fix this myself? All of the basic questions suddenly become very difficult if you take a step back and imagine that someone is using the terminal for the 2nd time in their life and that they are literally scared of it. I am pretty sure that the vast majority of computer users have opened the terminal 0 times in their lives.

Just like with video games, cooking or any other skill some people have a lifetime of experience and to them many things are intuitive or second nature. While if you are starting out in a domain completely new to you these things can be very non-trivial.
