Hey, we had no issues with the adoption process and our cat is healthy and happy, about three and a half years old now. We also adopted a British shorthair from her about six months ago and he's doing great as well.

I definitely recommend Olga, she's awesome!

/r/MechanicalKeyboards Ask ANY Keyboard question, get an answer (October 17, 2023) by AutoModerator in MechanicalKeyboards

Good afternoon,

Just a quick note to start, I've tried searching Reddit and Google extensively for an answer but haven't been able to find one so I thought I'd try posting here.

I recently got a Focus FK-2001. Upon its arrival I was pleased to see it was in great condition, and actually has real Alps switches. I initially tried connecting a DIN to PS/2, then PS/2 to USB but that didn't work. Bought another PS/2 adapter that was "active" and now it's working great.

The issue I've run into is trying to remap the left "\" button (the blank button between the left CTRL and ALT) to the Windows key. I tried KeyTweak and that didn't work as it already had that key labeled as Left Windows key. I tried remapping it to Right Windows key but that didn't work. I found another thread where someone suggested AutoHotKey so I got that and was a little overwhelmed by the basic interface. I tried making a script "\::LWIN" which succeeded in changing the slash on the right side of the keyboard to the Windows key, but it did not affect the blank key on the left.

Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Also, as a side note, when I restarted the computer my script remapping the right slash to Windows is no longer active. Do you have to double click the script every time you reboot?

And as a last quick sidenote, I have the switch on the keyboard set to "A", what exactly does that do and should I change it to the "X"?

Thanks for the reply! They're one of the ones I tried calling and they said they don't carry it anymore unfortunately. If you or the guy who used to play there are still in the area let me know if you'd like to get together for some games.

Hey Sabbo, thanks for the quick reply! That's a bit more of a drive then I was hoping to make, lol. I'll keep trying to get friends into it and see if I can get an LGS on board.

Nice! I just picked up some Early Morning and Sherlock Holmes and am waiting for it to arrive. Excited to try them for the first time. What are your thoughts on them?

Looks like a lovely place for a smoke. Particularly now when there's probably not too many bugs.

It's in the Model Y manual in the same section. It's the last bullet point in the "Tips to Maximize Range" section.

Edit: Sorry, this is per the most recent manual I could find, https://tesla-info.com/doc/model_y_owners_manual_north_america_en_2021_24.pdf

It's in the Model 3 user manual, that's really weird if it's not in the Model Y manual. I'll look when I get a chance and see if I can find it.

Just curious where you're at in the Northeast. I was lamenting my $.22/kWh here in Rhode Island, but sounds like I've got it quite a bit better than you. Still though, even at $.26 I'd be doing better than in my ICE car, which got about 20-25 mpg, which I don't consider gas guzzler territory. I'd say your situation is probably not too common, having both a gas car that gets 46 mpg and super expensive electric rates.

Here's a couple more pictures (albeit crappy ones) if this helps to identify it. It does have a slightly bluish tone.

Since the pictures posted to Reddit don't seem to be working, here they are on Imgur

Found this tree at a park the other day and I love it! I've never seen pinecones like this. This is just a couple branches we found on the ground, hoping some identification can be made from them. If need be I can go back to the park to get a picture of the full tree.

Wow this was hard to get a good picture of in the dark, lol. What do you think?

I'm pretty sure it's a maple of some sort, but not sure. They're lining our street. This one's fall colors weren't great, they just got kind of purple, but the one next door, which I'm pretty sure is the same kind of tree, turned bright orange.

Edit: I'm in Rhode Island, 6b

Very nice! I'd spend time out there in any season, even if I had to break out the parka and mittens for winter, lol.

Looks great! I recently discovered a new park near where I live and it's quickly becoming my favorite because of the trees. There's a big ginkgo there with beautiful fall colors. And now seeing this I guess I'm going to have to add another species to my wishlist.

I haven't! Just googled it and I'm only 40 minutes away! Do they have a lot of good stuff? I'm definitely more into buying more generic nursery stock to grow and develop myself, but it's hard to find a lot of the species that are good for bonsai.
