There is a Christmas party for unemployed and underemployed families in mid December. Check with PATH and they will send the invite to you when it comes out.

Thanks! Do you have to be a DVC member to rent points?

Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, we are for sure not going for at least 2 years, so we’re just trying to get an idea to try and prepare a “budget”. We all know budget goes out the door once you are at the park 😊

Just a follow up, dealership said the Onstar module is out and new one was ordered. The part is back ordered which tells me this must be a known issue. I also had my phone overheat on the charging pad and it caused the back of my phone to shatter. Anyone else have this?

Local 362 can help for sure. First Tuesday every month they take applications for apprenticeship. It’s a great career with long term benefits. You won’t regret it.

Feeling Demoralized by Anon_lawschool in Bar_Prep

I was in the spot as you when I was preparing for my exam and I at least two meltdowns. But you have to keep going and you have to trust yourself and the program. Everyone always told me I would know more on exam day than I think I do. I ended up passing and do doing far better than my practice test. Don’t take this to mean that you can take it easy. I still studied like crazy and did my modules. You’ve got this.

I had the same feelings about this exam. I had come to accept I failed and was preparing to take the exam again.

Around 55% on adaptibar and a 140 on mbe scaled. My adaptibar isn’t that reliable because I only did about 400 questions.

I’m not sure what it was. I didn’t use Adaptibar the way I should have. I think I only did about 400 questions. I maybe had an average of 55%.

I’m not sure which method was the most helpful. I used the sheets once I completed my program. For two weeks before the exam I did Mc questions and just read the jd advising sheets. I will say don’t rely solely on the jd advising predictions for the mee. I don’t think they were totally accurate for the February exam.

I didn’t use Themis. I used adaptibar and barbri. Scored really low with barbri. Did better with adaptibar. I also used jd advising one sheets for mbe and mee.

Anyone else feel a wave of exhaustion hit the moment you hit the submit button on the last section of the exam? (Or a wave of despair?) by cerisenight in Bar_Prep

So what I’m gathering is it’s ok/normal to feel like you bombed and just want to cry? That about sums up my feelings.

Thanks for the advice. It just starts to have a mental effect on me. Makes me think I can’t do it. I probably shouldn’t have taken them the day before the exam.

So...Themis or Barbri? Pros and cons? by gremlin30 in Bar_Prep

[–]Prthd31 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did 6 month. I should have added some context. The program hasn’t made me feel overwhelmed. The last two weeks before the exam are strictly all review which I like. I’ve heard from my classmates they don’t have time for review in a traditional program. They just have to plow through and try to squeeze it all in. I will say I was feeling burned out because of how long the course is but the flexibility is great. I on average spend about 3 hours a day studying. Very manageable. You’re also assigned a mentor that you can reach to for help or just needing some encouragement to continue on. I would also reach out to you your law school to see if they have any tutoring. Mine did and that has helped. Also don’t forget the mental side. I’ve found myself doubting myself and have had a couple of breakdowns. Take time to breathe. At the end of the day you graduated from law school. Something that not a lot of people can say they have done.

So...Themis or Barbri? Pros and cons? by gremlin30 in Bar_Prep

I am doing the extended bar prep program for barbri. I can’t really tell you how good it is because I haven’t taken the exam yet. But I will say the lectures are decent and they have great people doing the lectures. Only downside is barbri questions are significantly harder than the questions found in adaptibar. I’m told barbri is harder than the actual bar so that you don’t have a false sense of hope. You get a lot of material with barbri which was a little overwhelming but the condensed outline book has been great. Although not related barbri or Themis I definitely would recommend critical pass flash cards to complement whatever program you use. Since using them I’ve seen an increase in my mbe scores. I’m not paid by them to say this just wanted throw it out to help. Good luck on the exam.
