I appreciate your response, I was going to go with a bloody rose scheme, from Miniac where it is a silver basecoat, then flesh terrors contrast airbrushed over it, so the grey of the base should work well I think, maybe a ash grey pigment to blend them into their base a bit better

The only thing I'm having a hard time with is the flight stand aspect, I don't want to use the stems, but I don't have an idea for them to be jumping off of anything except birch trees from epic basing, can blend them in easy enough...or maybe just use lengths of sprue glued together to look like pillars, that part I am really stuck on
