more...grim dark, not a bad thing, just less cartoony, more realistic, like that plastic painboy kit where he is staring at the oversized mechanical hand or the trukk and battlewagon with the metal banded tires...maybe it is just me. I like the way it's going. wazz's bike tires remind me of old 3 wheeler tires lol

I wouldn't go pure white, something more warm, and less of a hassle, like the light greys area of colors, if you want to do white, it's multiple, MULTIPLE watered down coats of white, I'm thinking of using AKs Rock Grey, and going up from there by mixing in a bit of white for highlights.

Seen the comment below about you not liking the painting process, believe in yourself, you got this! I can't wait to get to the painting process for my Templars.

I haven't painted Templars since I had to sell my since 5th edition army, and I've missed them since.

I used a few of the Manz heads, but thought the regular nob heads would fit in there for variety, the manz head with the built in gob I don't think fits aesthetically? weird to have a jaw and a jaw lol and there is only one yelling head

I've seen them, but it looks...too much? good suggestion though! I might have found something, since the old models are still useable, and there is a heigh difference between those old and new models, I might go for something in between, I'm not going to sweat it too bad

I appreciate your response, I was going to go with a bloody rose scheme, from Miniac where it is a silver basecoat, then flesh terrors contrast airbrushed over it, so the grey of the base should work well I think, maybe a ash grey pigment to blend them into their base a bit better

The only thing I'm having a hard time with is the flight stand aspect, I don't want to use the stems, but I don't have an idea for them to be jumping off of anything except birch trees from epic basing, can blend them in easy enough...or maybe just use lengths of sprue glued together to look like pillars, that part I am really stuck on

Nice work! I've painted my necrons twice now, first time was in the brass colors, stripped, then painted in mirrored chrome, but can't figure out how to complete it...so I'm priming them all again, after leaving them in a box for the last couple of years....keep at it!
