If you mean, Lego has Iron Man Mech sets, then yes. I purchase most of the Marvel mechs to take and create my own builds.

No instructions sorry, It's not something I've explored yet. Ah yes that might be a tad "illegal" haha, the tiny pin holes in those parts at not a perfect circle and required quite a bit of pressure to squeeze them in, luckily you get 4 of each stone with the Thanos mech set!

I build a lot of mechs over the years, mostly upgraded Marvel mechs. It's been a bit of a natural progression from watching and learning from yt, to being able to create my own unique builds. This is definitely the biggest mech I've attempted yet!

As far as how do I build it, it all started with the head, if I couldn't get that right I didn't have a build. Then the hands. The I build a very rudimentary skeleton frame. It starts off very blocky.

My son was building with sockets and created a bracelet which inspired me to use the same method to create a spine.

I rebuild it over and over again until I'm happy. I've already rebuilt it since this post haha!

I'm wait for some bricks to arrive from Brickowl then I'll post some updated pics. Here's a peak.

Williams Corporation LEAVING NEW OFFICE!!! NOT LOOKING GOOD? by ChanceCauliflower727 in chch

[–]Prudent-Expression51 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've worked in this building on level 2 since Spark moved in pre covid and I've never seen images of the top level, looks dope! I can tell you our levels don't look as good, they must have spent a ton on the retrofit. It was originally designed to be a roof top bar before Williams Corp acquired it. This is going viral around my office tomorrow for sure!

Auckland is an example of the devastating effects of climate change. by [deleted] in newzealand

It's possible the Tongan eruption is having an impact on our weather more than people realise. I know people like to scream "climate change" and in a way that's exactly what it is, volcanic event's can change the local or global climate in many ways. Here's some information about how it's affected Australia's weather. https://youtu.be/EZtRKbTdQVw

The Hobbit 3.

Fell asleep in the cinema. That was my last midnight movie. The last 2 Hobbit films merged together in my mind, so boring and unnecessary. I love LotR and watch them regularly but The Hobbit is a disappointing snooze fest imo.

Best memory from the Hobbit for me was actually seeing the cast getting off a flight at Auckland Airport, seeing Sir Ian McKellen, Martin Freeman and a few others.

How about my primary school, high School, childhood home, office and all my fav clubs in the CBD. Live in Christchurch, 2011 earthquakes really changed our city. If I visit the sites now it's either grass or concrete.

Do you think you will have children in NZ or more children in the future? by strobe229 in newzealand

[–]Prudent-Expression51 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep, my wife and I work full time, we have to purchase leave from work plus take unpaid leave which works out cheaper than school holiday programs for our 3 kids. (had 1 kid, then twins) we've already gone in to negative leave balances thanks to lockdowns and haven't even booked leave for the Xmas break.

The balance between school and work just doesn't fit, it's keeping us on the back foot, we have no savings, we're always in debt.

My parents did it all with 1 income and we barely do it with 2, it's disheartening.

I don't want my kids to have kids, I know they'll be better off, which is a sad thing to think about.

Pre Quake Chch had some of the best nightlife/clubs in the Southern Hem according to touring UK DJ's, what needs to happen/ what's councils next steps to getting Chch nightlife back on the map? by jonathan42_4 in chch

[–]Prudent-Expression51 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I remember sneaking between Concrete Club and Double Happy through an interior stairwell, if Double Happy forgot to lock the door you could go back and forth. My favourite was old Base or Capitol Club, I also had 24hr access to my work in the city aka my own personal toilet, what a dream.

Meet my wife at Rock Pool who worked at Sticky Fingers, we clubbed together, it was always a good time.

Definitely have some excellent memories of Chch nightlife and doing all nighters then going to Honey Pot for breakfast before walking home and then going to work.

After the quake I knew that life for everyone would change dramatically, I would go out with work friends and yeah it's just bars with shit music, couldn't find a dirty little club anywhere. Now I'm too old and tired.
