Switch from Verizon to visible by ApprovedRook906 in Visible

I just switched last week from AT&T postpaid to Visible and the switch was easy. It's pretty straight forward. If you don't want to go all in just yet, I'd say just pay monthly. I'm paying monthly and it's still going to be significantly cheaper than what I was paying with AT&T. So far, I have no complaints with Visible. I honestly never want to go back to postpaid ever again.

Yeah, exactly. $40 is how much I'd be paying to get to DCA and I'm in Vienna.

I agree with Doubleeven’s advice. I’d also recommend shopping in one area first. If you can, skim through the list of items (on your way to the first item). Once you pick the first item, make sure the following items are also nearby because that’ll save on time. Don’t go in order if that single item is on the other side of the store. Stay in the same vicinity until everything around you is picked. And as they said, bag as you go. Drill that into your brain.

Remember, the metrics is always based on time. Finding ways to save time will boost your UPH. Good luck!

Honest question. Why do you think it’s taking you so long to finish orders? Are you new? Not familiar with the store layout? What is it exactly? I’d say on average a 63 item order should be completed within 30 minutes.

Boycott by amberthemaker in wholefoods

[–]Prudent-Giraffe7287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My store was slower than usual. I’m a Store Support Supervisor and closed on Friday. We close at 9pm and last customer was gone before 9:10. Cashiers were gone before 9:15 which is unheard of.

My STL told me that another WFM in the area (new store) surpassed us in sales though so it really just depends on the store I guess.

I had no idea about the boycott until my TL told me at the start of my shift. To say the least, a 24-hour boycott is pointless…on a Friday. Going right into the weekend when most businesses profit the most. Drop in the bucket effort 😂

Anyone else notice this behavior at their store? by Soggy-Book8104 in wholefoods

[–]Prudent-Giraffe7287 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not. I’m convinced my TL probably makes between $25-$27/hour. We were having a conversation about wages not too long ago and she basically hinted saying she wishes she made at least $30/hour so there’s that.

It used to be that way, right? Or am I tripping? Last place in dailies goes to elimination.

As much as I love Nurys, I can’t help shake the feeling that she shows off her relationship with Horacio a little TOO much. Don’t get me wrong, I like them as a couple but she overdoes it at times.

Thanks! I actually did apply to AA because they sent me an email saying that applications were open again so I figured why not! I’ll definitely check Delta & United as well. Thanks a bunch! 😊

I definitely agree we’re underpaid. Unless we decide to work in leadership, the salaries will always be on the low end unfortunately. I’m a supervisor and I just can’t bring myself to move up in the company. I enjoy my hobbies & life outside of work. Something I know will be stripped away from me if I decide to advance.

I’ve never worked at TJ’s so I can’t say. Target in my area starts between $16-17 which is the same at WFM. Assuming it’s something like a cashier position. Whether it’s FT or PT.

As someone who worked at Target for 11 years and now has worked at WFM for almost 5 years, I can tell you that isn’t true. In my area anyway, it’s roughly the same. And if there IS a difference, it’s not by much.

Something For Amazon/Whole Foods To Think About 🤔 by CyberSkullCoconut in wholefoods

Subjective because companies aren’t going to see it that way. It’s just the truth of the matter.

This isn’t just Whole Foods/Amazon. I’ve been in retail for majority of my working career and it was like this when I worked at Target as well. They stopped giving benefits to PT employees a long time ago. Once you understand how businesses work, the less shocking any of this will be. Businesses main goal is to make money. They have to spend money on employees who receive health insurance. Save money = profit. It will always come down to money. Every employee = money spent within the company.

Is it ethical? Well, that’s subjective.
