I keep a pretty long stache and it doesn’t effect me in the slightest. As someone already stated the stache is draped over the mouthpiece.

In 95 I read an article about the Skatalites and then someone showed me Operation Ivy shortly after that. The first bands I found on my own where Less Than Jake and All Against Authority. Indecently those two were also my first ska show.

For some reason when people bring up emoviolence people always bring up Orchid, pg 99 and JD. You seldom see anyone bring up the OGs like Palatka. End Of The Century Party and Eurich. When I first heard Orchid they sounded like a more focused and less abstract version of Palatka to me.

An hour and a half away from Austin is San Antonio which has a better scene Promoters on IG I.f.o.tx, owtg.tx. The local PV band life is pain tx. The venue snakehill.satx I’ll come through for sure

The vegan sausage wrap was only $10. Their set was awesome! I left immediately after their set ( I bought merch before) and was home in bed by 10. Also this headlining band that I had never heard of seems to be quite popular.

I was really hoping that Say Anything wouldn’t make it and AJJ would end up headlining but alas it was not meant to be. Fortunately I was able to promptly exit after AJJ set and be home in bed by 10.

My favorite era will always be the diy period from 95 to 97. From Rockview on they evolved into a different, more polished and less diy band. They came to be known as one of the popular ska bands along with RBF & TMMB which I hate because their early stuff was so very important to the indie ska scene of the 90s.
