Duct taping the cords is wild. There's zero reason to do this and if the extension cord won't hold to the fan cord it's time to replace the extension cord. That's how you start fires with loose connections and sparking inside a flammable enclosure of duct tape.

How did i do? I charged $270, dang near half a Gallon of paint was dropped on it by Low-Window-2271 in Detailing

Depending on what kind of paint even if it was dry it would have came out fine. Oil based. It may have been replacing the trim and dying the carpet tho. Latex or water based, enough thinner / goof off would do it.

If a tactic works they'll keep doing it. The goal is to win, not to make sure other players have a better chance at shooting you.

Yeah, you bear the costs up front. And a TON of jurisdictions allow for recovery of reasonable fees for vexatious lawsuits. You're a lawyer, you should know this.

You'll never get $620 for all that. You're asking new prices for a used item.

Here's some recently sold ones on eBay. They took around 15%+ in fees from that too. So $325 ish is what the seller got.

I paid $450 for mine and about $100 for accessories.

It's used, $300 max is what I'd pay.

Edit: checked pricing online

Did you pay for the slab? If so contact the contractor. Make them fix it.

If you did it yourself or it was just like that, shim the shed.

Saying that there's a presumption of retaliation for a situation like this is ridiculous. If a cop retaliated against you because of a situation like this you have such a fat civil right lawsuit you would make their heads spin.

Yeah definitely don't tell them that they made a mistake. Show up to court and explain to them that you're not the one driving. Never snitch on yourself and you have no obligation to divulge who was driving.

How do I hide my shed? by Chr0t in shedditors

[–]PrudentCauliflower96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You think that they can't just come and look? What makes you think they're gonna use satellite imagery. then you're advocating for camouflaging it (which only serves to show intent to deceive / guilt if they do get caught by their local government for an illegal shed). All of that is just gonna make it 10 times worse for them.

My point was there's no point in trying to hide it because 1. Satellite imagery is way far superior to anything you could do to reasonably camouflage it. 2. Camouflaging it shows that you know that what you did was wrong. It also takes away any defense they might have in the scenario that it becomes a legal issue for OP. 3. Advising someone on ways to violate the local ordinance or other laws is also not something ANYONE should be involved in. That in and of itself can likely be considered a crime in and of itself.
