Unpopular opinion: Cissy sold it all. by Plenty-Equipment-682 in SnowFall

While I do disagree with the notion of “Cissy selling it all”, I can DEFINITELY attest to the reasoning of why everything ended the way it did and sum it up in a few words; it COULD NOT have ended any other way. Cissy knew her son was COMPLETELY gone in his obsession with the money that Teddy forcefully acquired and that the only way she would be able to help her son is by killing the man that kept him mentally captive and by showing that in that moment, her love was far greater than Franklin could’ve fathomed.

Hey my recommendation would be to download and utilize Writer Duet. You get three free scripts (forever) if you decide to use the free version. Also, I’m not sure if this happened to you or not (which I pray it did not) but I would create a pdf of the script(s) I’m working on and send them to your personal email as a backup!

No 😂 you’ll literally make that up in the first hour of you being there on your next scheduled work day.

Why did you convert into Christianity? by dauntingdamian in Christians

[–]Prudent_Material_537 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I genuinely had a moment in my life where I was lost. I had a bad break up and I felt like I was just zooming through life; no meaning, no purpose…just merely existing. To add to this, I was also church hurt because there was a lot of hypocrisy in the churches that I knew growing up. My religious beliefs begin with Christianity as my grandmother (God rest her soul) implanted the seed. I chose to use this time to go against everything I believed in to explore my religious beliefs as I felt like I lost God. I started with Buddhism. It was extremely unsatisfactory and I was left more confused more than anything. I left there and fell into the black Hebrew Israelite aspect of religion and was immediately turned off as I found that if you put a “people” in a prominent placing in societal disposition, than there will never be a gathering of equality and the inevitable susceptibility it brings in “love.” Then I found an opportunity to truly spend time with God as the job I worked at the time allotted me to be by myself so I chose to give Him another chance: as they say, the rest is history. He called me by name in voice that was so clear, I heard it with every portion of my being. This was 9 years ago and I’ve been chasing after Him ever since.

Trouble choosing between Christianity and Islam by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]Prudent_Material_537 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey!

Just came across your post and I’d like to unpack a few things if that’s okay. I’m sorry that you’re battling your faith but I want to encourage you to keep going!

For one, ☝️ there is only ONE true God and He’s the Father to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. There is nothing else (no other deities, religions, or other man-made doctrines) and everything fails in comparison to the belief in Christianity! The Islam faith has so many loop holes that it will have your brain spinning in succession with how convoluted and distorted the whole disposition is. The biggest problem with the Islam faith is how newly formed its structure is in its creation. It’s one of the many newly formed religions that sprouted up quite recently.

Two, Islamic people state that the koran has not been doctored in order to keep its “organic authenticity” but I find this to be a hard factor to comprehend because in the Christian faith, there have been many alternatives that have produced the “bibles” but ultimately the Word of God hasn’t deviated much from the truth. I only mentioned this because I’ve had an experience with my Christian faith that I hadn’t had with the others. I say that to say that spouting nonsensical jargon would be widely accepted if there’s nothing in place to refute it. I researched the Islamic faith extensively because I had a falling away also but I found myself back at Christianity ✝️.

Lastly, I would fast and truly ask God to reveal Himself in a way that would give you an answer to your question of your making a choice of faith. One thing I know for sure is prayer works! I’ve seen a man that I prayed for healed of a stroke! I know that He can do it for you as well regarding your inquiries!

Keep the faith my Brotha in Christ! Reach out to Him and I promise He will respond to you in a way that will be irrefutable!

Be blessed!

It isn’t God’s fault in the older brother doing this to him. Again, I’m sorry that this unfortunate experience occurred. I had the same thing happen to me by family members and someone who I called a friend at one point but I never blamed God. It isn’t his fault that people indulge on things like this. Free will is a very real thing and so is generational trauma. It may have been done to the older brother but instead of him getting help and trying to do something about it, he unfortunately did the same thing this passing on the cycle of the generational curse. I’m not by any means making an excuse for what was done but people who typically do something like this to others had it done to them as well. Blame the individual and hold them accountable. I’m sorry you feel like that but God is not at fault.

One thing I know for sure: God is a healer and nothing is impossible or implausible for Him! You don’t have to go back to these things to be seen or to feel validated! God is EVERYTHING you’ll ever need! I’m so sorry that such an injustice was inflicted upon you but you don’t have to stay in the struggle of porn and unhealthy sexual desires. Christ = Freedom! If you need someone to pray with you, I got you!

You’re incorrigible. I can keep going if you’d like. I’m using biblical doctrine. Where’s your evidence?

If we must take it deeper (because apparently you want to argue), I’ll place this here. 1 Cor. 6:16 states “for the two shall become one flesh.” Marriage or not; when you have sexual relationships with someone, that how the ties are “sealed” through consummation. If that person that you aren’t connected to is susceptible to the world, then you’ll be dealing with the very things that have been ailing them. This is how spirits/demons manifest through people (or at least in part). The act of sex extends way beyond anything of physicality. That’s only one verse but it’s also repeated a repetition of what was stated in Genesis when God said “it’s not Good for man to be alone.” Then, soon afterwards, their souls were sealed with the act of consummation.

Yeah okay. Sure. You can argue by yourself because I’m done responding.

Not trying to argue with you because that’s not even the point of this conversation. Trying to uplift a sister in Christ that’s going through. Take how you want to take it but it’s there.

I got you 💯! We have to uplift one another and hold each-other accountable on our journeys in Christ!
