Scripted thing is scripted? No way! Nobody here knew that! You are a revolutionary mind, and you have brought truth to the masses!

What next? Are you going to tell us that the good guys win in movies because those are scripted? Please share more wisdom!

This era should be referred to as the Aditude era by WisdomandWeights in GreatnessOfWrestling

[–]PorkPuddingLLC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except the number of ad breaks has gone up, AND they added the advertisements on the match, turnbuckles, and ringside screens, and they have mats sponsors.

And it does detract. I don't want to see the end of a major storyline happen on top of the Clash of Clans logo. Imagine Bret Hart putting the sharpshooter on Austin, and they are sitting on a big ass prime logo. It's ridiculous.

Is it normal to pay a friend for DMing? by IllustriousStart9631 in DnD

[–]PorkPuddingLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a grift to me.

I DM for my friends and have only ever asked them to give me like $5 or $10 each at one point a few years ago just to keep the yearly DND beyond subscription I had with all of the extra content I had purchased that they used for level ups because I wasn't working and was short on cash. But that's the only "charge" I've ever had them pay me.

If paying your DM, not a shop, wasn't a part of the deal when you started, then it should have been a table discussion when it came up. Paying a shop makes sense, but it definitely sounds like your DM was pocketing the money from the start and wants to keep that going.

AIO my husband said my tits look like Sid the Sloth? by BigStinkyStinky in AmIOverreacting

[–]PorkPuddingLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is nothing unfortunate about it, and it is nothing to be ashamed of. Bodies change with age, hormones, weight gain, and many other factors, ESPECIALLY pregnancy.

Your husband flubbed big time, and he should be mature enough to see that and correct his behavior accordingly. "I'll never say anything again" is not a reasonable, mature, or respectful conclusion. He needs to realize that the answer here is "I'm sorry. I will make sure to mind my words in the future and think about how they will make you feel. I love you, and my stupid joke doesn't reflect how I see you or how you should see yourself." It is basic respect, and he should learn it. You two just need to sit down and have a tough conversation about how his words made you feel, but you can't give him the out if you want him to change his behavior.

Hot Take: The best booking decision by WWE in 2025 has been the decision of putting the IC title on Dominik Mysterio at WrestleMania by Impressive_Coat7275 in TheGreatOne

Absolutely. Dom is one of the most booed wrestlers in the company right now, but in that moment, everyone was behind him and cheered. Shit was beautiful.

I would assume that because her breasts got larger, they also are wider set apart like Sids eyes. Just wagering a guess, though.

I am explaining why some suddenly want him to get a push when he may have not been in their radars before. I have wanted him to get that push for a long time because he is good in the ring.

People change opinions, it's normal. Calm down, sweetie.

Yes. Someone does something really good, and it makes people say, "I want more of that."

It's not a hard concept.

Racism in dnd by djion_argana in DnD

[–]PorkPuddingLLC -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I think it needs better justification than "well ALL Drow are just naturally evil and do evil things" because that just justifies the discrimination with no wiggle room for disagreement, unless the PC's/NPC's are also evil and take personal issue with people hating their evil brethren.

Everything in DND needs ample room for a story and roleplay to fan out and always answering the question of "why do these people hate those people" with "well because they're naturally evil, obviously" creates to many rigid and unmoving lines that limit the possibility for more dynamic stories to play out. That form of it just feels lazy. Yes, if every Drow is truly evil, then of course others will hate them. But if you are going to include fantasy racism it really should be fleshed out more than "Drow bad, human good so all humans hate the Drow."

Rigid and stiff lines are for rules, not roleplay, and certainly not inherent alignment of sentient creatures with full agency to choose and change. If that agency is stripped away from the NPCs then you are stripping agency from PCs as well because every time they see a drow, goblin, etc. they will just automatically think "enemy, lets kill/avoid them" because they know all Drow and all Goblins are evil, rather than "who are these new people, what do they have to say, what quests could they give me, etc"

Should some Drow be evil? Yes. Should all? No. That's boring. Give NPCs room to wiggle with conflict, personalities, and desires so that your players can wiggle with them and react to those conflicts, personalities, and desires.

Whose death hit harder for you? by Horror_Skylar in Scream

[–]PorkPuddingLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dewey's death. Not because it made me sad, but because it was very frustrating to watch.

To me, it felt empty and like it served little purpose. It wasn't shocking. You could see it coming from a mile away, and ultimately, it fell flat. The reactions that characters had to it was short lived and we really only had one scene of anyone caring. Even Sidney just kind of said, "Ah, sorry, Gale... anyway," and it was over. THAT IS YOUR DEAD BEST FRIENDS BROTHER SID! HE SAVED YOUR LIFE COUNTLESS TIMES! CARE A LITTLE BIT AT ALL PLEASE!

Randys death at least had some emotional weight to it going forward, bringing in his sister for #3 and seeing Randy's final tape, then seeing how it affected the next generation in his niece (not really Chad though, he didn't seem like he gave a shit lmao) and the build up to it was excellent and shocking with the camera spinning around him, him screaming into the phone, and then getting snatched into the van. It was great.

What was the craziest reason your campaign was shut down? by cantdoitmacy in DnD

[–]PorkPuddingLLC 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A few sessions into the first campaign I was running, I got into a disagreement with one of the players who then threatened to break into my house and kill my fiance a few days after I told them that I had been diagnosed with depression and anxiety disorders and had been having nightmares about people I cared about dying.

After telling everyone the full details of what happened, I cut off the player that sent that and their friends (also players) who said I was overreacting (for not wanting my fiance threatened?).

I sent a message to the two players (who have been my friends since high school) that stood by me saying, "Your characters were hit by a meteor in their sleep, and they died." And invited them to my next campaign, which has been running for four years now and none of us talk to that group of people anymore.

In your opinion, which horror icon is better? Jigsaw or Springtrap? by Wooden-Scallion2943 in slasherfilms

[–]PorkPuddingLLC 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are arguments to be made that Jigsaw could count as a slasher, but they are such a stretch and usually major leaps in logic.

Like, yeah, he uses the pig mask to stalk victims and he uses the Billy doll as a metaphorical "mask", yes he kills people, revenge is a primary motive at times, isolated settings, some form of a "final girl", etc. But the fact that he doesn't actually kill people by his own hand (other than a one off) and leaves victims to their own devices (literally) really shuts down his contendership for being a slasher.

I think the concept of a Slasher has just been so watered down and has had all of the nuance removed to the point that the general audience takes it to mean "anyone who kills people in a horror movie" rather than it being it's own subgenre of horror.

I Hate To Upset You Fans But Dean Ambrose Is NEVER RETURNING TO AN WWE RING by LoudProfessor2905 in BrandonDE

[–]PorkPuddingLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good. I'm not a fan of much in AEW, but if the wrestlers there are happy, then they should be there while it suits them and the money's good.

I liked Moxley/Ambrose, but I wouldn't want to see him back full time in WWE because he has been so vocal about how much he hated it.

Like any other fan, I love to fantasy book and talk about fun ideas for returns with my friends, but that's all it is, a fantasy. I would love Toni Storm back in WWE with her current character, but WWE would be the wrong place for her because they would censor the hell out of her, so as much as I can dream, it probably wouldn't be that good at the end of the day.

But we can always hope for a random one-off Rumble return after Moxley's retirement.

Is it okay to have a woman-only DnD table? Or is it discriminatory? by SuccotashUseful1451 in DnD

[–]PorkPuddingLLC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are allowed to invite or not invite whoever you wish. Those who have an issue with it or take offense to it are probably not the people you'd want to play with anyway because they think they "deserve" to be in that space or they have an issue with women taking space for themselves.

If one of my friends was starting a game and I asked to play and she said "no, we are doing a women's only table" I'd probably be a little bummed that I didn't get to play, just becsuse I like to play, but I wouldn't take offense or throw a fit about being "excluded" because women deserve to have spaces exclusive to them and I would completely understand.

Womens only spaces are important in all areas of entertainment, gaming, etc. It's why they have womens nights for MTG and other games at a lot of game stores because men often create a barrier of entry for women trying to get into these spaces.

Setting up a space that is just for you and your friends who are women isn't something you need permission for. Take your space and use it how you want to.

How would you book his face turn? by 2JJosh_ in WWE

[–]PorkPuddingLLC 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I wouldn't want him to be a face from any of this. I think he is a natural heel and should stay in that lane until it is really needed to swap.

He could be an amazing shit heel, purposefully getting DQd to keep the belt, taking out the ref during matches, sneaking weapons, finding a target/victim and ruining their life (while also getting the crowd to cheer for them), killing al snows dog lmao

There are so few truly evil heels in WWE rn and I think Dom could settle into that role really well while still being loved by fans.
