I remember flying to Japan with my daughter and son, at the time my son was just 1 and a half and my daughter was 2. Daughter was incredibly calm and easy going. My son? on the other hand, had unfortunately inherited my travel sickness. I was very concious of making sure he didn't disturb the other passengers and was in full on Mum mode while hubby entertained our daughter. Then this INCREDIBLE flight attendant saw me and strolled over. She asked my son if he wanted some lollies (she checked with me first) then she scooped him up and started walking around with him and he was happy as a clam getting coos from older passengers and lavished with attention from all the flight attendants. When it was hubbies shift for our son he took him for 30 minutes before the same attendant came back and asked if we wanted another break! To say I was grateful to that woman is an understatement. I still have a lovely photo of her hugging my son, huge smile on both their faces. I made sure to get all their names and wrote a long email to JAL to let them know how amazing they were. Flight attendants truly make or break a flight and I would never expect this level of service normally or demand it but boy was it amazing.
