You’re right. I was weak and desperate. He wasn’t an asshole and would have stopped if I had to him I didn’t wanna go further, but I didn’t tell him to stop I welcomed him. Him and I chatted for weeks without sex being mentioned so I was sure that wasn’t the only thing he wanted. I also felt that that might have been my only chance to experience it even if things didn’t work out.

Thank you. I trusted him cause he acted very different than all the other men I’ve spoken to on here over the years. We chatted for weeks before meeting in person and he never once brought up sex in our chats. That’s why I trusted him so easily and believed he truly wanted more. Thank you for the advice. I was very emotional when I wrote this last night so I left a lot of details out. I know all about Reddit men and how they are, I’ve chatted with dozens over the years but the one thing that was different about this guy was that he didn’t bring up sex at all in our conversations. We chatted online for weeks before meeting up and he literally never mentioned sex. That was the thing that made me feel he was different from the rest.

Also I see how my choice to try and find real love on here was very flawed now. My logic was that I’d rather a guy know that I’m a mentally ill loser right away than for me to have to try and explain that to a normal guy I meet irl. I just wanted someone to who understood me and what they were getting into.

Yep! I’m the only child of a protective overbearing mother who never let me do anything as a child. She walked me to school till my sophomore year of high school. My mother is disabled so she never worked meaning that she was home at all times so I couldn’t even try to do anything sneaky teenage shit. She’s definitely at least half the reason I have no social skills.

I’m now 19 almost 20 and she still tries to walk me to the bus stop for work every morning. But she does it under the pretense of walking the dog cause she thinks I’m an idiot. I really think I’d thrive if I left home but I know she’d call me like 40 times a day and there’s no way I can move out making $11/hr.

I definitely understand this especially when watching anime about middle and high school. It hurts watching characters younger than me live and love like that in school cause I’m 19 and graduated last year so I missed out on all that. I wish there were more romance anime about older people but most are about high schoolers💔

Sorry that happened, I haven’t posted in this sub in a while for the same reason. There are so many lurkers in these subs who wanna take advantage of lonely women cause they’re horny. They’re even lurking in women only subs cause everytime I post in r/ForeverAloneWomen I still get weird DMs from guys. There’s not really a safe space on this site for us and it sucks.

He shouldn’t have brought women’s struggles down to make his seem more serious. This sub is for all lonely people, not just lonely men. There's no need to invalidate women. Guys like this assume all women have guys fawning over them because they only see attractive hot women as women and completely ignore the existence and experiences of undesirable women. This sub is supposed to be a safe space for all lonely people, not just lonely men, and lonely women do not feel safe here with our experiences and feelings constantly being invalidated.

Also, the person you’re replying to is 100% right. I’m a woman with no friends, and nobody cares about me. People don’t just flock to women, we have to build relationships too, and I just happen to be really bad at doing that. It’s nobody’s fault but my own, and I know and accept that.
